So, I've been laid up off running for about two weeks now with what I suspected was a tibial stress fracture. I went for an X-ray last Thursday, and got my results today.

No stress fracture.

Unfortunately, that's not good news. The doctor said that the radiologist found something on my X-ray that they can't identify that is hanging out on my fibula. She was hesitant to say what it might be, but among the possibilities are some sort of lesion or benign tumor, but they really don't know.

They've already sent a request to my insurance company for an emergency MRI, which could happen as early as Friday.

So, not only am I not cleared to run today like I thought I might be, since I'm feeling, but I'm not cleared to do ANY exercise until after the MRI comes back.

I know this is NOTHING in comparison to what some people are going through, but I'd appreciate any good thoughts you might have left over.

I have some...I just produced some more last night.

Positive thoughts and several pounds of pixie dust your way. Please keep us posted.

Despite not winning the Lotto last weekend I have some spare Pixie Dust that I'll send your way. :tinker:

Oddly enough, I never seem to run out of Pixie dust.

Sending tons your way!

Sayhello

Sending lots of good, calming thoughts your way. :cheer2:

I can only imagine how rough it is not get to do what you love and not knowing what's going on. Hope you're at least staying cool in this gross heat. :scared:

Hey Amy,

I always have a pocketful of pixie dust and good thoughts.

Let us know if there is anything we can do.

Hugs.

I just bought an extra barrel of PD this morning. ;)

Hugs and :wizard: to you!!!

So many sent me pixie dust so I will glad to pull some out of my bank and send it your way.

Carol
It's a great day to be alive!!!

Plenty of pixie dust, hugs and prayers heading your way - for the insurance company to move quickly, for calming thoughts and strength for you and your family, and for good results from the MRI! :grouphug: pixiedust:

It's your lucky day - my new shipment of PD just arrived today!! :)

Prayers to you!

I hope you get clearance for the emergency MRI right away and that the news is, if not good, then not too bad. Taking a break from running sucks, so I hope this turns out to be a good break and that it's all resolved before you lose any fitness!

Sorry to hear the news Amy and I am WISHing for a good prognosis. Getting sidelined is bad enough (and missing world running day :)) but adding the uncertainty must make it much worse.

Sending some as well. There are lots of reasons that you might have a little something on the x-ray and most of them aren't that terrible one that first comes to mind, so here's to finding out very soon and getting on with your training! :grouphug:
