Does anyone have a suggestion for a travel bed?

I am hoping someone can give good/bad reviews of a travel bed for a toddler? I have a 26mo old(at time of travel) that has made the transition to a toddler bed and I am looking for something other than a pac-n-play. We have a Graco pnp but she can get her leg over the side. Thanks!

We also have an Aero Bed. Its the toddler version where the middle is recessed a bit so its harder to roll out of. My son has been using it since maybe 18 mos and still uses it today (hes 4.5 yrs). Looks like I will have to get another one or a twin when DD1 is ready for it! Inflates in a few seconds and is easy to break down.

The other thing we have used (on a cruise even) and is smaller/easier to carry is a Ready Bed. Its an inflatable sleeping bag that comes in different characters. Theyve gotten more "complex" since the standard version my son had. Now they can fold into a lounge chair, etc. I just got a Care Bear one for my DD. It is a toddler version and has bolsters on either side for more support. Havent used it with her yet though. They carry them at Target, some Toys R Us, Walmart, and online of course. If you go this route, you might want a air pump as the foot pump takes forever to blow up the mattress.

I tried the Peapod with my daughter. Its like a small air mattress with a tent around it. Didnt really like it (same went for her). I would get her asleep, put her in and zip it up. The sound of the zipper woke her up. I think she was a little freaked out too when she woke up and was surrounded by a mesh tent. Your little one is probably almost too big for it anyways.

Chiming in to agree with the pp's as we love the aero beds. We have the toddler version for a while and it has held up well enough to be passed down to my nephew. We now have one twin aero and a regular airbed and my dd's fight over who gets the aero so we will likely get another.

Its very comfortable and easy to use - easy enough that I can send it with my 9yo dd to a sleepover where she can inflate and deflate it herself.

The pea-pod comment reminded me of the tent/beds I saw at costco recently. They had one with spiderman on it, and a batman one I think. Not sure if they had any Disney-princess ones.. It looks like this one on ebay: click here. Just thought I would mention it. I'm sure they had a girly one but of course I have a boy so I wasn't paying attention to that! :goodvibes

ETA: I did a search and could only find Batman and Spidey...no princesses... Sorry. They are made by "Spin master" Here a link to the Batman on on Amazon.com in case anyone is interested.

:thanks: Thank you for all of the feedback!! This is awesome!! I will definitely know what to shop for now.

We have (had-he out grew it) a travel trundle type bed for DS, but it worked great! Now we have one of those inflatable ones with a sleeping bag attached. His has Winnie the Pooh on it. But there are other characters, too. We got ours at BJs, but have seen others at Target as well, including princess ones. It comes with a small pump and a carry bag. We normally keep his at grandma's for when he stays there, but it will be going to Disney with me in 2 weeks.

We also love the Aero toddler bed! It inflates in seconds and we prop it up against the wall when not in use in a hotel. DD loves it so much that sometimes she wants to sleep in it at home!

We have a Thomas the Tank Engine air bed for our DS who is 3. It has a battery operated pump that blows it up, and the bed is cute and fun for him! I have seen girl designs as well. I know we got ours from QVC, but I have seen them at Walmart, ToysRUs, etc. Good Luck!

Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you for the feedback! This is great that i can come here and you guys know your stuff!! Thanks again!!

I was wondering this, too. We have the toddler aerobed and love it!

My question is, is there room under the beds to slide the blown up aerobed underneath the queen size bed in the room during the day? We'll be staying at a BCV, which will have a queen size bed and a fold-out couch. We were thinking of not folding out the couch, but taking the toddler and a twin aerobeda that we have and then just sliding them under the queen bed during the day. Any thoughts?
