Does anyone have a great way to organize your day @ Disney

I get colored 4x6 index cards and a small 30 picture photo album for $1 at the dollar store. Since I only carry a small messenger bag to the parks, I want the smallest photo album possible.

Each park gets a different color index card and each days itinerary in on the cards. ADR's, park hours, parade and fireworks times, and other shows we want to see are all isted so I can just flip through and find the correct park and day.

Since we have been to Disney 5 times now, we listed all the rides and attractions at each park and put them in categories of Must See, If There's Time, and Skip It. Then when we are at the parks, we make sure we see everything we really want to, and then move to the If There's Time list. I never did this before and it always seemed like once we got home there was something we missed or forgot about. This is our last trip and I want to make sure we hit everything we never saw before.

That is the best idea! I laminated my index cards, but never thought about organizing them. TFS!

Hey Everyone! Thanks for all the great resposes and ideas. Please keep them coming. I don't want to get to WDW and feel so overwelmed I can't enjoy myself. :cheer2:

DON'T get overwhelmed...remember it's a VACATION!!! Buy a Birnbaum's book to read thru and use these boards and Allearsnet and Disney's site so you've got an idea of the things you'd really like to see, but don't make yourself crazy...if there's a bunch of things you don't have time to do...well, then you'll just have to back another time! :thumbsup2

When we went in 2004 I bought a Passporter almost a year before - and I had the best time planning - it was me, dh, ds and dd, my parents and my brother and SIL - they all thought I was crazy! The last time we'd been to WDW me and my brother were kids and dh and SIL had never been. Passporter covered everything - I learned so much, so many tips, etc.... - honestly, they didn't think reservations were necessary for restaurants! :rotfl2:

Well, needless to say, once we got there - they were very thankful. I've bought another one for this trip - I could read it every night!

you ROCK! I'll be adapting this method to meet my needs tomorrow! I usually buy all the books (Fromer's, Birnbaum, Passporter) and the enter pertinent information into both a spreadsheet and my scheduling software. I can sinc both into my PDA, which can hold documents along with my appointments. This year I'm going to capture screenshots of menus and other info and put it in there as well. It's small enough to fit into my fanny pack.

If anyone has a good excel spreadsheet that they are willing to share with me... please email me! Thanks! Mine is very clunky & I am trying to figure out how to trim it but with no luck.

Something that I have found useful as well, and eliminates a bit of time management while at the parks. I set up my calendar on yahoo to send me text messages for upcoming meetings......er ADR's. In the message I put the time to be there, as well as the ADR#. I set the time for alert at various times depending on the planned park. If we are at the park with the ADR, not reason to notifiy myself 90 minutes prior, I like a 30 minute mark on those. If we plan to go back to the room before the ADR, I will typically give it a 2.5 hour advance notice, and a 60 minute notice.

We too tend to put most of our information on a index card, or sheet of paper, as well as any other information that we may need.

I hope this helps someone.
