I worry about my 12 year old too sometimes.
He has great friends at school but once he leaves he loses interest or something. I wondered when he originally told me about his friends but then I kind of watched a bit and I always see him talking and laughing with other boys so I don't know. He often brings home books or other things that they've lent him and he's always into some project with another kid or two. I've urged him to invite one or more of these kids over but he just looks at me like I've grown three heads or something.
I guess that they have to find their own way.
