I was thinking about getting my cats a stroller for Christmas. I thought they might to walk around our deck or street on nice days.
Does anyone have one, and if so how do your cats like it, or not like it?
I'm pictureing what my dh's face will look like if I get one.
I'm quite sure I won't be incharge of the Christmas budget next year, lol.

Thats funny you ask...I just saw one of these for the first time last week and was thinking of getting one for my cat. He's an indoor cat, but I know he loves it when I carry him outside. :teeth:

Giving you a bump...

I know my guys love it when it is nice and I let them play outside in their "playground", which is the first half of the deck where the hot tub is because it has a solid high fence. I just thought they might want to explore the neighborhood more since they cry when its time to come in.
I saw some on shopzilla.com and ebay. Incase anyone wants to check it out.

My sister and I were out shopping in antique stores a few months ago and in comes this lady with her DOG in a stroller. Sorry, I think they are a dumb idea. No pet needs to be carted around in a stroller unless they have leg issues. Cats can be walked on a leash too. Sorry.

Oh- we have too many dogs in our neighborhood to take a walk on a leash. That would be a tragic disaster, i'm sure of it.
The stroller is enclosed and offers some protection.

Our cats get enough exercise with Brutus chasing them...

I thought the same thing until I took one of my cats out on a leash. BAD IDEA. She freaked out after about 5 minutes into our walk. I had to carry her home with her claws dug into my shoulder and back. It was not a pretty sight.

Sorry, I would die laughing if I saw one of these things!

I saw a lady pushing one around with a chubby little dog in it. I thought it was so funny and could see why the dog was chubby. ;)

I think our society has been changing their attitude about pets. Many people are opting not to have children and chosing to pamper their pets instead. I think its great if someone wants to lavish their attention on their furbabies. Why not? I think the stroller is cute and would get one if I had a place to walk my dogs. They go NUTZ on walks and pull me everywhere. I do know that many more businesses are catering to this market. If you and your cat will enjoy the walks, get it. It will add special moments to your time together.

I have one for my dogs, and while it seems silly at first it makes a lot of sense in certain situations. When we went to Gatlinburg we were able to take them out and down the street in it, without them being under feet. It can get very crowded there and two little dogs getting stepped on wouldn't be very good, but they did love the attention they got in their stroller. We literally had at least 50 people stop us and ask us where we got it and telling us that they needed one!! Now if we are walking them in a normal area where there aren't a lot of people for them to bother, they walk of course because they need the exercise.

People can pamper their pets as much as they want. It's the people who aren't taking care of their pets and all the animal abuse that goes on that bothers me.

I used to take my cat for a walk in an actual stroller before these ones came out, and he LOVED it! People would stop to look at the "baby" and were they ever surprised to see the furry face peeking back at them :lmao:
