I have one near me but its kind of expensive, they want $365 for the year and only have a few classes. Was wondering if they charge different rates across the country.

I belong, but only because it is on the corner of my street and I like to go to the gym at 3:00. I love having the gym to myself that early. Our Anytime fitness does not have any classes and only has treadmills and ellipticals for C-V equipment. Guess it's a good thing that I belong to 3 gyms (that's a whole 'nother story), so I don't get bored.

This would actually be the second gym i belong to also! But what do you think about the price of $365 for the year, does that sound about right. Sounds a little expensive to me.

I believe they are all franchised and can charge different rates. Mine was $35 per month. I was a member for about 9 months, but didn't care for it. It was just too small and did not have lockerrooms (or lockers!). I hated having to wait to use the bathroom to change if I didn't change at home. I also hated coming out after changing to find all of the whopping 3 elipticals taken. I'd rather pay a little more for a bigger gym.

Now is a time for bargaining and "specials". At least in our area, there is competition for the gyms out there and you may be able to negotiate a lower price--it's worth a try.

I think I pay $25/month

All of the anytime fitness's in this area usually have deals around Thanksgiving. Last year it was a two week trial for 10 dollars. It was enough to sell me. Ours is small but I like working out at odd hours and really like being virtually alone. I also like that each treadmil/eliptical have their own tv so you can watch what you want. Also, their personal trainers are pretty reasonable. 150 dollars for 12 weeks.

Thanks everyone! I did belong to this one in the summer, and i got a good family rate but wanted to continue for the year. The price i was given was alot more then i thought it would be. I am going to wait til Thanksgiving and see what else they offer.
