Does anyone ever go on vacations to anyplace besides WDW?

Since our first family trip to WDW in 2001, we have been to New Orleans, and to the East Coast of Florida. I especially loved St. Augustine. I am planning for our next trip to involve the Caribbean, since it's been far too long since I've snorkelled. And then (insert evil little drum roll here), I am hoping to be able to convince DH that I will have some sort of nervous collapse, if we don't do Disney in August '05.

Well, my GF and I are still relative "younguns"( 27 and 29.) Our WDW vacation last year was the first "real" vacation we had by ourselves, spending our own money. We did a lot of traveling together as part of our college marching band/pep band (Nashville, New Orleans, Austin/San Antonio, Chicago, Cincinatti.) Nashville is a good weekend "escape" for us since it is only a 4 hour drive away.

If our financial situation improves, I'd like to take 2 vacations a year-- one to WDW and one "somewhere else." We almost ended up in Las Vegas last year in November, but the plans fell through.

Some of you need to come to Memphis, we'll show you around Actually, funnily enough, I've lived in Memphis for 20 years, my GF was born here, and neither of us have EVER been to Graceland (and the school where she teaches is just around the corner from it!) I think a lot of native and long-time Memphians are like that.
