Does anyone ever cancel Ohana?

We booked our trip with less than 180 days before we go. Of course Ohana has no tables available for dinner during our stay. Think there's any chance someone will cancel? We're going Nov. 15th - 22nd. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Absolutely! Just keep trying, especially at the 60 day and 30 out marks, as that's when people get their fp+ and cancel extra reservations that don't fit in with their plans anymore.

Oh yeah...I think there will be cancellations. It is just a matter if whether it is a time and table size you want. You can check the November cancellation thread here or sign up for the free reservation finder - https://touringplans.com/walt-disney-world/reservation-finder. It is supposed to email or text you when a reservation opens up that meets your requirements. Of course you only get the ADR if you log in and book it before someone else snatches it.

Yes! We were there last year same time and unfortunately had to cancel our reservations for Ohana the day before. So if you don't get one before you arrive keep checking while you're there, it does happen!

Touring Plans ressie finder has found one for me on July 4th about a week ago. Wasn't the time I wanted but it is possible to snag an ADR there!

Be flexible on time and check up until the day of. People cancel before midnight the day before all the time, when they finally decide on where they want to eat the next day.

YES, I have had 4 different reservations, two this past week, had a time in mind I really wanted, and it finally came available. Each time a better time was listed I replaced it. Touring Plans found this one for me, and it was around midnight when it was available but I did not see it until 6am.

Definitely do! We booked a trip to the Poly for July about 3 months out, and I was able to snag one after a couple of weeks of searching. Also, our last trip we had one, and my mom decided the day before that she really didn't want that big of a meal after our only "long" MK day, so we cancelled the day before. Definitely happens!

I've actually found searching a time has gotten me different results then using the generic "dinner. Not always, but sometimes. I'd try both ways.

I got Ohana last year using the TP reservation finder and got several alerts well within 180 days. Keep trying!

We had two dates booked a few years back and cancelled the second one during our trip so I wouldn't give up until the last moment.

I was alerted to a 745 opening... I hurried onto MDE and by the time I got to where I needed to be... The 745 showed but then there was an "error" when I clicked on it. I started over and then there was an 830 and was able to book it. I still hoping for something a little earlier to open up. But just thankful for something

You do have to be quick, and three minutes is way too long, considering that others are probably looking for the same thing for a very popular restaurant. I was looking for BoG lunch ADRs, and I have the BoG page of the Disney dining reservation site bookmarked on my computer. The second I would get a text from touring plans, I went right to that bookmarked page, selected my date, time and party size, and I got the reservation they notified me about every time. You can bookmark the BoG reservation page, or any restaurant's reservation page, on a smartphone, too. Having that page bookmarked saves the time it takes to click through all the layers to get there.
