Does anyone ever actually call and cancel ADR?

Yep....even as a newbie to Disney dining, usually just did CS on the past, I felt obligated to phone and cancel a breakfast ADR at Crystal Palace on our last trip. I know how annoying it was to not have a table available for certain things we wanted, so I figured this way someone might get in that really wanted to. :goodvibes

I always cancel them if I am not able to use them, I also have the local dining number programmed into my phone once I get there so I can make any changes I might need to on the spot. I have also just used the room phone to call dining to let them know I wanted to cancel an ADR. I feel I was lucky to know I had to plan and did my planning, but I still feel for others who may have been shut out at the time they called for an ADR or didn't plan as well as I did. Sometimes one more meal is jsut too much, sometimes someone in the party doesn't feel well, sometimes there is a themepark day change of plans, whatever the reason if I know I'm not going to use the ADR I cancel it.

Just called last night... had to wait on the phone for 10 min just to cancel a ressie..the way i look at it is it's good karma.....;)

I always call and cancel - I would hate for one family to miss out just because I was lazy and didn't want to make the call. Last trip, someone else must have done the same thing because we called several times for ADR and on the third call, there was an opening.:cool1:

I called yesterday and canceled two ADR's and added two new ones. Once we get to WDW if I couldn't make my ADR I would call and cancel.
