Does anyone else wish Disney had a Starbucks?

I admit that I am addicted to my Starbucks coffee every single morning (I brew it at home and add flavored creamer), so I'm thinking I might bring a bag and brew it in our hotel room.

Hey, I'm a manager for Starbucks, so here's your hint for the day...

Buy the VIA instant (Columbia, not Italian) and then microwave your milk if you have a microwave in your room. Add whatever syrup (you can buy all but mocha and white mocha from starbucks, and you can get those 2 on ebay, but you didn't hear it from me!)

Put the via in your cup, add the syrup, and the milk, viola.

That is the closest you'll get, and it ain't half bad!!
;)

Oh boy yes! I need a venti quad non fat sugar free vanilla latte at least twice a day!

I am so cranky in WDW because of caffeine withdrawels!

All that stuff is great, but unfortunately some of us are caffeine addicts.
I drink 4 espressos a day at home. When I am in Disney I get awful headaches from caffeine withdrawal.

Some of us just enjoy really good coffee and this is one place where Disney is really lacking.
I can live without Starbucks, I just want good coffee that is easy to find.
I do not like being overcharged for brown water.

If the only beer at Disney was Narragansett I do not think people would be too happy. This is not any different.

Unless you stay at the Value resorts there really is a solution. Bring your own and brew yourself a cup in the room while you get ready for the parks. This is what I have been doing for years! I bring my own DD ground coffee.

True. I always bring a pound of Starbucks Italian Roast, but the problem is around 11AM in the parks and you need a fix.

And just a comment for those that are against overpriced "Corporate" Coffee in the parks. What are Disney and Nestle?

Over on the Disneyland board, they're all talking about Howard Johnson's hotel having installed a Keureg machine in every room of the hotel. I, for one, would love to have either Starbuck's or Dunk's right on Main Street next to the Bakery. Is that too much to ask? Oh, yeah, and a quick service stand in the lobby of every resort--and one at the information booths of each park. Yeah, that would do it.....:drinking1

Yes, I don't care what company it is (at home I go to a local drive-up kiosk), I just want a good afternoon coffee. My husband is not going to be happy without a strong cup of coffee for a treat in the afternoon!

Off to look into Via...

I think carrying around Starbuck's via instant might be a good idea. You can always get a cup of hot water where ever they sell tea & coffee.

WDW coffee has gotten better but no where near the same as the stuff in other parks in Fl.Same with hot chocolate.

The Starbucks in USO gets $10 every visit from DW and I.

Has anyone tried the Contemporary Grounds at the CR? The web site says they have late/cappuccino and specialty coffees?

Not a huge Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts fan, but those Via instant coffees are super handy.

We went camping with the kids this summer and it was a life saver! Very portable and tasty.

Planning to bring a bunch along on the trip. Any hope that the club level at Wilderness has decent coffee?

Still can't wait to get there!

what I'm realllly looking for is a decent latte/cappuccino. Kona had a nice cup of coffee, but it's kinda out of the way.

The Via was a bit strong for me. So 7 days without Starbucks will make one weak (for me) :sad2:

The parks are commercial as it is, bringing in Starbucks would only add to it.............Someone mentioned McDonalds, does anyone know why they removed from the park?

:surfweb::surfweb: Oh my goodness... I swear I fund the local Dunkin Donuts Christmas bonuses!! :surfweb::surfweb:

2 times (something 3:scared1:) a day.

Mom and I were talking about opening some on the drive down (past NC I think you don't see ONE on I95) and having a kiosk in the Magic Kingdon.
What's the chances of that? I would even do mickey eared donuts if it would help...

:rolleyes1:rolleyes1
