Does anyone else think we need a subboard for the Dining Plan?

I think that is a good idea. For those of us that don't have any intention of ever doing the DDP having to weed through all of those posts is kind of a pain.

I'll third that! It is a drag when every other question is about the plan and I am looking for FOOD!

That's my problem too & I'm finding that questions that pertain to the restaurants or reviews are getting buried by dining plan questions.

I would really appreciate this. No offence to anyone on DP, but as an AP holder I find myself having to wade through loads of posts that just doesn't apply to us.

I agree.

I don't even bother writing my feeble attempts at reviews anymore because I know they will be on page two in a matter of an hour or two.

Add me to the agree list. I just think there's enough questions/confusion regarding the dining plan that it deserves its own board. I think that would help cut down the number of repeat questions asked as well, since all the DP threads would be in one place.

Plus, that allows me to go back to reading reviews and drooling over food photos. :wereallyneedadroolingsmilie:

I totally agree! We ARE going on the dining plan, but there are a LOT of questions.

I've been missing finding people's reviews! How am I supposed to anticipate what I'm going to eat if I can't find other people's descriptions of it??? :confused3

Edited to clarify: there are a LOT of questions about DDP on the boards...we're past that stage for the most part and just want to know about the FOOD!

Heavens yes! It's become as bad as the Code threads on the Resorts Board. How complicated can DDP be? Heck, I managed to understand and use it on our last trip.

I think it would help if people stuck to the sticky at the top of the board! But they seem to like starting new threads :confused3 A separate board is a good idea

I'll sign on the dotted line, too. We don't do the dining plan, and it is kind of annoying to open up a thread with a restaurant in the title, only to be asked how many points it takes (is it points? Well whatever it is.)

When I made resort reservation a few weeks ago, the CM was brow-beating me to add the dining plan. But I already have park tickets, and we are getting the AAA rate (-15%), and we're staying concierge. Makes absolutely no sense to pay rack rate for the room, plus pay for another ticket (even if it is just one against the room), and there's no way we can snack at the concierge lounge and eat all the daily food on the plan.

But this CM was a little "cultish" for me. Sorry for rambling!

I had thought of just giving the new thread a link to the sticky if it would answer the question. Does that come across as mean?

Agree! We were getting DP, but decided it wouldn't do our waistline any good, and wanted room only with AAA rates. So, I just want to know where, what and when to eat!

I agree! That's a great idea. I've quit visiting the restaurant board as much because I want to read reviews and most everything has been about the DDP.

Ok I think we're all in agreement :)

So do i just wait for a Moderator to read this or send them an IM?

I don't think so. If I asked a question that 10 people had answered in another thread I wouldn't mind being given a link to the thread. I'd get my anwers that much quicker.
