I don't hate her; she's a decent actress (I'm only basing that on the Lizzie McGuire show, I haven't seen any of her movies) and she seems like a genuinely nice person. However, she absolutely cannot sing. At all. It kind of makes me mad that she has a record deal, because it's obviously only because someone wants to make even more money off of her. So while I don't despise her, I definitely don't think she's worthy of all the praise she receives.

She's not like my favorite actress or anything, but she's not that bad. I have to admit that I did see the Lizzy McGuire movie, which was pretty corny by the way, but I've seen worst acting. As a singer, she's not that bad either, but I'm a sucker for all things Disney and for good music....I mean when her songs come on the radio I don't change the station or anything. Yeah and a majority of her fans are little kids, but what do you expect? She acts on a show that's on a station that caters to a very young audience. She's tolerable, and I don't think she's worthy of all the praise she gets either. jmo

well i used to watch the lizzie mcguire show..i thought it was kinda entertaining, but her movies suck...i guess for little kids they r the perfect movies....simple plot with not much going on...hilary is too fabricated...she grew up too fast...in my opinion she's gonna go the same way as britney

i usually compare hilary duff to the olsen twins. their movies are aimed more toward a younger crowd, so to us depp lovers amanda, her acting is not quite entertaining. her songs, i hate to admit, are rather catchy but her voice is too fake for me i guess. overall, as a person, i obviously dont know her, but as an actress, she doesnt bother me but she's not my favorite.

Well, I dont "hate" her...i just really dont like her. But then i do not like any teen girl that the disney chanel goes ga-ga for. Does anyone else notice that any popular teen actress on a Disney show somehow ends up with a record deal..with ::gasp:: Disney! Wow Disney must have amazing casting directors...they could tell vocal talent a mile away when they saw them...act?? LOL my personal fav. so is that hillary duff santa song...its like" i remember last christmas eve, santa claus came and i couldnt believe" HAHA that song is so tech fake. No one can actually sing like that robot voice that she has in there..has it been digitally enhanced? Pop singers digitally enhance their songs?? what, surely you jest.

sorry to all the fans..just stating my oppinion. But the only hillary duff thing i have ever liked is casper meets wendy..b/c that movie rocks...that was way before Lizzie.

I won't be a teen any longer after next month, but I had to reply to this topic. I so agree with LemonFruitChew13. She needs to decide if she wants to be punk or gurly. But then I'm sure her record label and publicist are the ones telling her how to dress and act. She seems like this innocent person and all. Watch one of the new episodes of Punk'd on MTV with her taking her driving test. She seems like a sweet person in the beginning and by the end....they have to bleep out her words. She's not perfect like they want her to seem. I think she's a fine actress for Disney and all, and like natty41, I don't change the station when she comes on. But it's only my opinion.
