Does anyone else think that FRIENDS was one of the most stupid shows ever on TV?

I am so glad that "Friends" is finally ending because, frankly, I have been tired of hearing about it.
I think it was not funny at all and was actually pretty ridiculous.
I especially will be glad to see that "Rachel" chick gone, she was so annoying.

Anyone else share my sentiments about this?

I watch Survivor but use to watch Friends. I was taping them for awhile but this year was mostly re-runs and I just lost interest in the show. It doesn't really matter to me that it's ending, I think they should've ended it last year instead.

BTW what's up with the missing R&R baby? In the previews Rachels at an airport ready to leave where's the baby? Is she leaving it behind with Ross? Is she stored in Rachels carry on luggage? Why did they even bother with the whole baby storyline if they never even address the poor neglected kid.

I've NEVER gotten that show. I don't like anything about it. I don't think it's the stupidest, there are WAY more that can win that award but I had to deliberately stay off NBC today so I could STOP hearing about it! yuk...

I did watch a few episodes (re-runs) and they were funny. I don't get all the publicity that the show finale is getting though... I mean, it's not like the world is going to end now that Friends won't be around anymore. JMO

I'm in the middle. I would watch it from time to time, but never thought it was worth all the hype its getting.

A good show, with a good run. There will be something to replace it I'm sure.

Oh I know. This guy at work today, as he was leaving for the day, I said "See ya tomorrow" and he says "I'll see you "post-friends".
Maybe "pre-firiends" and "post friends" will be the new time-markers like "BC" and "AD".

I will agree on 2 points, however:

1. the show overstayed its welcome and should have ended last year

2. The hype for the season finale is way over the top.

Having said that, I think the show is one of the funniest shows to ever be on television. There have been many, many times that I've LOL and that's not something I do easily. I think the characters and writing were exceptional and I will miss it.

Friends--most stupid show on TV? Nope. I am not a die-hard friends fan, but I will be watching tonight.

To me--one of the most stupid shows on TV: Survivor. I could NEVER get into it.

Fortunately, to each his own, and none of us are programming for networks, so hopefully we can all find a few things to watch.

I guess what turned me off initially was the fact that my co-workers were SOOOO into it the first year and thought that Chandler hung the moon! I tried desparately to get into it, being from New York and thinking I could relate to it, but it was so UN New York to me! I had seen Jennifer Aniston is about 5 failed shows so I figured this would be the next one. To my utter surprise she finally found a winner!

I thought the Phoebe character was too stupid for words and the way Chandler spoke made my hair stand on end!

Like I said, I didn't get it, I got Seinfeld, I got Frasier, but Friends, I never GOT.

I'm more afraid of what lame reality show will take its place...

"Who Want to Survive to be an Idol while Marrying my Uncle after his House is Remodeled and We Give Him a Makeover" type show...
