Does anyone else still do this - printed plans?

I spent 3 hours today making a schedule for our upcoming WDW trip with all the details like flight information, dining reservations with confirmation numbers, and a loose daily schedule that I’ll generate as a .pdf and print right before we leave. I like to have all the details in one spot other than just on my phone in the case WiFi goes out or something.

So, my question for discussion, anyone else still do this or something similar (Excel spreadsheet, etc.)?

I do as I'm planning but no longer feel I need to print them out. I did last trip and it only took up space and I didn't refer to it even once. It was on my phone should I ever need it so I'll be saving the paper next time and not printing it.

Only thing I see the need to print is a copy of my boarding pass when flying. Too many things can cause your phone to stop working, some unexpected software update, battery dies, no reception, internet down, etc. You can print them at home or at the airport kiosk when checking your luggage. All of my Disney info is available on MDE, so have never seen the need to print that. We made dinner reservations or FastPasses and really only need to know when the next one was. Have never had a structured 'schedule' when at Disney since that isn't our choice of how to enjoy the vacation.

Yes I do and I bring a print out sheet to the parks on each day. One my most recent trip to Disneyland California, I used my print out AND the free Genie AND Genie+ and it worked so well. The print out kept me on track for what I wanted to do and then Genie and Genie+ made my plans possible. It worked really well using both the App and my paper print out :)

I use excel spreadsheet to plan out budget. One main tab with all the costs and then additional tabs where I’m working out hotel pricing, theme park tix, food, etc. I don’t print this.

I put all travel info (booked flight emails, hotel confirmations, ticket confirmations etc) into a temp email folder so that’s all in one place.I dont print any of that. Then I move it to a permanent folder when I’m back.

I DO print the Epcot festival menus off Disney Food Blog beforehand to decide what booths to target when I get there.

I put alot of detail into my calendar app. Open and close times, which park we are going to etc and in the notes section I will sometimes list out rides I want to hit or F&B options I know we will like. I don’t print out calendars either. Just use my phone if need be.

I print a one-sheeter with the high level itinerary. Saturday is Magic Kingdom West, lunch at Pecos Bill's, Festival of Fantasy parade, then church in Celebration. That sort of thing. I don't print pages and pages with each confirmation and email.

For confirmation numbers, I keep a separate folder in my email for each trip.

I do an Excel spread sheet with the general schedule., dining plans, park hours...and laminate it!! 🤣 On the back, I also list food items that we want to eat for snacks- especially in Epcot. Probably old school but will be doing it again this trip. I need a general plan as a framework.

One of my favorite shows! I always did identify with Sue Sue Heck a bit. 😂
Off topic, but that episode when the Heck’s are at MK all day snd don’t ride a single ride or manage to do anything is a literal recurring nightmare I have lol. We’re about to leave Disney for home and I realize we didn’t do a single ride or attraction at all. I have this dream like once a month. That episode brought it to life lol.

I do and I put copies in the suitcases that are checked, in case the luggage is lost, they know where to send it onto...knock on wood, it hasn't happened yet.

I think it is hilarious, not scary. My partner always stifles a laugh whenever a friend asks us what our fav ride was following a Disney trip and I reply "the gurney"

Yes, I make an Excel spreadsheet, and I print a copy to bring with us. That way, when DH wants to change something while we're there (like cancel an ADR and make a completely different one), I can show him the domino effect that the changes will have on that entire day and confirm that he REALLY wants me to do that.

Absolutely! I fold it and put it in my park bag. Each day has our morning, evening, night, parks, park hours, meals, rides, snacks we wants, extras….. my budget and other nitty gritty go elsewhere but it helps me to see it all laid out in one place. I print several copies. Put one on dresser in resort, one in my park bag, one in dh’s pocket…. 😜

YES! The planning is part of the fun. Just trying to stay flexible because this will be our first time using Genie+

I do an excel spreadsheet and keep in in my phone for easy editing while planning and easy access whenever in the parks.

I do the same thing and give copies to all involved. Nobody is interested in helping plan the trip, but love to ask me 1000 what next questions on the actual trip
