When I was down in January I used my DDE card all the time. It is a great program with, I believe, one exception. When I used the card it appeared that the server would need a manager's approval for the discount. At a sit down restaurant it was fine and we never knew, but at the "bars", Rose and Crown and Bellvue room, it seemed awkward. At times when the Rose and Crown was packed I would give the server my card and then the server would disappear. It seemed awkward since all the people next to me were waiting to be served. We travel in a group of 10 so the savings was significant, so I continued to use the card at the bars. Did anyone else notice this? If so are they still continuing this procedure?
