Or maybe they're just lying to you about all that? See why honesty is so important? If not, you're going to have to watch Pinocchio, because my friends are ready to go out now and I'm signing off. :)
I guess I just know my kids. Sorry you theory does nothing for me. You watch Pinocchio.

We just came back from Disney. I cannot believe the price they want to charge for a three year old to eat. I refused to pay it and told them she was two. The amount of food she ate would take no profits away from Disney. I payed 29.00 and probably ate 10.00. I also think it is terrible what they charge for a ten year old to eat. An adult price?????? The price of food is out of hand. I don't care if you have money or don't. This is robbery! How many kids eat adult food anyway. Most would eat the food they give out for kids. Sorry but shame on Disney!

Shame on you for promoting lying.
I would think you would get a lot more accomplished by spending a little more time writing to Disney and encouraging others to write to Disney about your concerns than posting this on the DIS boards.

I have a feeling lying about your daughters age is bothering you more than care to admit.

It seems like you are trying to justify the fact you lied by saying --"It's all Disney's fault.
Disney made me do it!"

That just sounds pathetic to me. :sad2:

I am by no means the 'best parent' anywhere-- and I never claimed to be. I simply said that my actions are an example to my children. Words mean little. I can't expect them to show integrity if I don't show it myself.

Lies are lies-period. Justify your choices however your conscience sees fit.

I am just amazed that you can post about how you have no guilt or remorse about lying and (yes) stealing and then criticize everyone else. If you didn't want our opinions, you should have simply kept your little deceptive money-saving 'achievement' to yourself.

By the way, don't worry about my kids. They're just fine, they know how old they are and how to tell the truth--at all times, not just when it suits them.
Can I say "Let it go." I will continue my life and have no regrets about my three year old being two. I have not changed my mind on any of this. I'm just amazed how this keeps going and going. I'm also sensing alot of anger? It's okay. There are many more things in life that are bad. Disney will go on. My two year old, I mean my three year old will turn four. She will get taller. So I won't be able to pass her off as two. So everyone relax. It's okay. Worrying about your kids? Not a chance. I will leave that to you. I will not judge. Your kids are your problem. Just do a good job.

Let me end this post. It takes so little for people to argue and fuel a post. I will tell you I have a 21 and a 19 year old. One is in Nursing School and the other a Buisness major. No drugs, sex, drinking, police trouble or depression problems. They have never stole and are the nicest girls you would meet. The 21 year old works at a hospital and a dentist office. Both places love her. They are hard workers. I sacrificed alot for them and raised them in a very protective environment. They are probably better than alot of other people's children I have seen. The same ones who type away on this site. Me telling Disney my three year old is two proves nothing. I will keep doing exactly the same thing I have always done and hope this one turns out as great as the other two. Again anyone of you could only pray you had kids like mine!! Don't judge. Worry about you and your own. Worry about what you will bring out into society. Some of the "best parents" have the worst kids. Keep that in mind!

I read this Quote on another post :

"Life would be easier, nicer, less stressfull, and a heck of a lot cleaner if all people would respect others rights and the enviroment around them. Following the rules in place is the first step toward that goal. It's that simple, it really is!"

This is the way I have tried to live my life and teach my children by my example.

I have 4 children. They are grown now.
Our 2 sons who are 32 and 25 graduated from college with business degrees. They own their own business and are doing very well. Our oldest daughter, a collage grad also is in her 30's works for a Detroit radio station handling sales in national advertising. Our youngest daughter who is 22 will graduate in December with a double major in business. She works for the Salvation Army in fundraising. She is in charge of contacting businesses and asking for donations, setting up auctions and getting radio hosts to donate their time such as hosting at a fundraising classic car show and fair. This weekend she and I are going shopping to buy some new back to school outfits for underprivileged children.Even though my children are grown and doing well my job has not ended. I have a grandson who is 4 now and I will teach him by my example just as my oldest daughter and her husband teach him from their examples.

Peace :hippie:

I like your reply, Minnie! Sums it all up very well.

Beautiful reply, Minnie. You should be very proud. Your children and grandchild are lucky to have you as a role model. :goodvibes What wonderful things to hear!

Here's another quote I love: "He that loseth his honesty hath nothing else to lose."--John Lyly

and another

Nothing so completely baffles one who is full of tricks and duplicity himself, than straightforward and simple integrity in another.--Charles Caleb Coltron (Lacon)

It is interesting to note that the words "honor" and "honesty" come from the same root. The Romans used the same word to express both meanings.

Sorry, OP, I know you don't care (even though you're still online) but I always have hope that people can change and learn. I've seen it happen. :cloud9:

I've posted this a few times recently... seems to be a popular topic:

Le Cellier offers a 6oz Grilled Steak for children. Coral Reef offers children a grilled chicken breast (not nuggets). Chefs de France offers a fried fish plate for children. Rose and Crown has cottage pie, bangers and mash, fish and chips, and grilled chicken on their child menu. Teppanyaki offers a small stir fry with either chicken or shrimp. Nine Dragons offers sweet and sour chicken. San Angel Inn offers children either a burrito or an enchilada. Marrakesh offers couscous. Spoodles offers Grilled Strip Steak and Grilled Chicken. Flying fish offers fish and chips, grilled steak, chicken breast (again, not nuggets).

I'm pretty thoroughly shocked to see so many choices available for children. Choose your restaurants wisely, and your child will be more than pleased.

bicker is right...it is ALL where you choose to eat. Gone are the days where you did not know what you are going to eat before you go into a park restaurant...we have menus galore and trip reports all over the place. If you choose to only eat at CS locations or "chicken nuggets" only locations, then that is your choice. There are a lot of choices for children if you look around. Keep in mind the number of posts we read where people say, "my child is so picky and will only eat chicken nuggets"...if the general palate of the American child is this way, then that is what Disney will continue to serve en masse. If the majority of people TRULY demanded better choices than hot dogs and hamburgers, there might be a change, but I think that the general rule is that Americans in theme parks tend to eat crap.

Since the corollary to this statement is obviously also true (given the status of your other two children)...I guess you should be congratulated on having had them turn out so well through no fault of your own. :rolleyes1

Or would that "be a sin" akin to cheating a business out of one's hard-earned money simply because one feels that they charge too much?

Some people...geesh.

So let me get this straight. Paying for a room and not staying in it is wrong according to your post #54 here .

But lying to Disney so your child can eat a meal you didn't pay for is OK.

I'm not sure I get that logic.

My 10 year old prefers "kid" food, but my 7 year old prefers "adult" food. The dining plan would not suit us well as I would have to pay the price of an adult for my 10 year old. However I can not see him or my 7 year old eating an appetizer, an entree and a dessert. Therefore I would just not get the dining plan and pay OOP for all of us.
No, I think the Dining Plan would be PERFECT for you. You'd order three adult and one child meal at each sitting, right? Exactly the distribution of credits for your party make-up. Then your 10 year old eat the kid meal and your 7 year old eats the adult meal.

Loooking to stir up trouble?????????? I not sure what your meaning is? I'm asking people if they think the prices are expensive for children.
Well, not originally. The first post in this thread states "

Sorry but shame on Disney!" It contains only one, fragmented 'question'; the rest is statement, complaint and a seeming attempt to justify (yes) stealing food from Disney. I think gas prices are too high - does that mean motorcyclists or scooter riders should feel justified to take gas without paying because they don't use much of it?

She has yet to eat as much as a grape in any of the restaurants and we have been charged the full price for her in every single place.
Did you know some Character Meals charge a $5 entertainment fee for Guests who eat absolutely nothing but want to attend for the Character interaction? You probably need to discuss it with the Host/Hostess when you check in, but in THIS case, you'd be justified in not paying for a meal for your daughter - and Disney recognizes this. Remember, in a couple of years you may find yourself paying adult prices for her to eat nothing...

TnKrBeLlA012 said:
I will repeat all my previous thoughts. THE PRICE OF A CHILDS MEAL IS WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY TO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT THEY EAT!!!! I don't really care what a few of you seem to think. I feel not one ounce of regret for saying my three year old was two. I'm not impressed with anyones moral judgments on the topic.
What do you do when you feel clothing is 'too expensive'? Or when a store is charging more for a toy your daughter HAS to have than you think it's worth? So, how is a restaurant meal any different?

TnKrBeLlA012 said:
This is just a thought. I'm thinking Disney probably would let this serious crime slide. It may be wishful thinking but They probably have bigger issues to deal with. Call me crazy but it's a thought. Now how would security be called in on this. Would it be like a stake out?? Would they take her into a room and question her? She is only three by two months. Maybe thay have decoys set up looking for three year olds posing as two year olds???
HER? No. Why would Disney do that? Your (or any) three-year-old is not responsible for the PARENT'S action, inaction, refusals, protests, whatever. YOU are the one stealing because you don't agree with the prices.

See where lying gets you? Your three year old is NOT two, she's three.

And it's a crying shame that ALL Disney restaurants don't offer healthier options! Not everything you listed would be considered "healthy" or acceptable by everyone else, either.
People, of course, have their own preferences and priorities. A theme park, however, has to obey the wishes of the vast majority. Whenever we find ourselves outside that majority, it is a shame, I suppose, but it something we have to learn to live with.

TnKrBeLlA012 said:
The average person I believe would agree the price of the food is VERY!!!!! expensive.
Expensive, yes, but it isn't "robbery", and charging a market-driven price is not "shameful" -- on the contrary, it is living up to an obligation, fulfilling a fiduciary responsibility. And, as others have said....

Sorry, but shame on you! What you did was stealing. :guilty:

TnKrBeLlA012...........are you the long lost sister of VintageKnight? Maybe a distant relative? Do you eat at Sonic? If not, would you like to hitch a ride to one with us? Maybe you can steal us a couple slushies. :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I'm off to work. Have a great day everyone! :thumbsup2 :sunny:

You are right. The Disney Police would have handcuffed me and taken me out. I would have probably faced some serious jail time. I guess I could have thought about my evil deed in prison. How do you feel about last years mug being used this year?? Should I not have used it??? I'm now thinking I should call Disney and turn myself in.
ActuallyTnKrBeLlA012.... they would escort you out and directly to security where you would be questioned. I worked at Main Street resturants in Disneyland for two years and I've seen it happen. Most people think that no one is listening or watching but they are. You seem to think that you're above the law and above the people that post comments. If you don't get caught then everything is okay but if you do get caught, it will be the most embarrassing thing to happen to you and your family. I've seen people who were very ashamed of their actions after it was too late.

Bicker - While I respect your post (i've seen it a few times) and your opinion, there are a few things on your list that aren't really healthy and some of the restaurants fit the orginal post as being a bit expensive. Adults have many options and on some kid menus there may only be one option that would be considered healthy. I guess we can't have everything.

Yes, I'll grant you that those items you highlighted aren't "healthy" but they are "healthier" (than chicken nuggets). Also, the objections are often more about variety, or lack thereof, rather than healthfulness.

Everything at WDW is expensive.

You're right. People want healthier choices as well as variety. Rare is the family that will be eating no fried foods or sweet treats on their WDW vacation. However, it can be done. My coworker has a four year old daughter with a heart condition and monitors her diet carefully. At TS restaurants, she was able to substitute fresh fruit or salad for french fries, grilled chicken for fried, and once even got a whole wheat roll with her kid's meal. While all choices aren't perfect, WDW offers more, and better choices now than ever before- and chefs are often willing to go an extra step to accomodate reasonable requests. CS restaurants even offer a choice of carrots or fries. It's definitely improving.

I only wish I could pass her off as two when we go in March. Who knows maybe I could????? This board never fails for a good laugh.

Then don't be surprised if your darling daughter begins to lie in your presence and think nothing of it. After all, you lie in hers and think nothing of it, and she will certainly learn a lesson from that. Even if I thought I could get away with such a thing in a restaurant, I would never do it because my son would see me lying about his age and think that's okay. Or if he didn't, he would experience a sense of guilt and/or shame. Don't you think children catch on to what adults are doing? They understand more than you think, ya know... :sad2:
