Does anyone else hate paying for shipping as much as I do?!

I just happen to check out Disney shopping and found something on sale that my DBF wanted for last XMAS. It is a great deal, but then I have to add another $7 for shipping, now not so great of a deal

Someone has to pay to ship it to you! Cost of doing online business. But it beats driving to the store, walking around and doing the shopping yourself! Most of my shopping will be online this year.

I like to shop and I too hate shipping - esp when it's way more than the actual cost to ship. So I go to the mall. If I can't find it then I shop on-line.

I also hate paying shipping charges. However, this is the time of year when lots of retailers offer free shipping. For instance, this morning alone I got emails from Target, Amazon, and a few others offering discounts with free shipping...all I had to do was sign up on their websites.

As far as Disney's website goes, you should always check Mousesavers first before placing your order. That website always has the latest discounts that Disney is offering, which almost always has free shipping (sometimes they have a minimum amount to spend, though).

Another site to use to check for free shipping offers is Couponcabin. They list almost every retailer under the sun!

Sometimes I think it is a savings because...

if I go into a store (especially with kids) I can spend more than $7 on things I wasn't planning on. If I am organized (shop the online store only once per occasion to try to get the free shipping amount) I don't feel bad for paying shipping.

I don't like paying shipping either, but a lot of time when I go to the store, they're out of the color or size I need, so I've just wasted gas and my time when I could have gotten exactly what I want online.

seeing as the nearest stores to me are an 80 mile round trip, I'll gladly pay the $7 and actually save money on gas
