Does anyone else get very emotional when...

wishes always brings tears to all of our eyes (mine, DH, DD, DS)....which is why all 4 of us wanted to smack the people standing behind us one time...they talked loudly through the whole thing!?!?!?!?!?......we couldn't believe it...
even after the guy standing next to us (who looked like a stereotypic motorcycle gang thug) turned around and told them to please be quiet (afterwards, he commiserated with us about people who just don't 'get it')...

and Johnny, over the years my enjoyment of WDW has changed...
i first went as a teen, then when i was married before we had kids and we enjoyed it all one way...
and then when we had the kids, although we continued to enjoy it on that level, we began to enjoy it on a completely different level as well - through the eyes of our kids....enjoying their enjoyment....

Just being there and taking in the surroundings is what I work hard all year for... I have been waiting for this holiday for a year and a half and planned to enjoy it a massive amount!

My fav, full 1st day is walking down Main Street and eating at the main street bakery!

Yes! The first time I cried was in Philharmagic (sp?) when I suddenly thought ' They made this for us! ' !!!!

Also in the Pooh shop an elderly CM served DD (then 9) when she was buying a beanie winnie. He put him in a small plastic bag but put his nose through the handle saying you have to be careful with little ones and plastic bags! My DD gave him a big smile and that made us all well up!

Reading the history of Walt and WDW also makes me teary, he really did care about his guests.

You go as tourists and really do come back believing in the magic. I think that was truly Walt's gift to us all.

I don't have to actually be there.
I have the Disney Cd "Millennium Celebration", the music from EPCOTs Reflections of Earth does it for me.
When it gets to Celebration section I can see the fireworks going off in my mind then it goes into "We Go on" and that does it.
Just love that tune

Obi Wan, I totally agree with you. I was lucky enough to be in Epcot for the Millenium evening - 31 Dec 1999. It was great, I just wish that they had a DVD on the celebrations that went on over this period as there was so much going on we just couldn't do it all. Still the CD is brilliant

i also listen to epcot illuminations music often and that reduces me to tears , i remember seeing those fireworks for the first time and bubbling like a big eejit. for me its when arriving at glasgow airport ,getting on the plane and when finally get into our car at the other side, its a feeling of finally getting there after saving so hard and planning and planning. i also agree with the others about non disneylovers , they just dont get it...they dont feel the magic! the best moment is driving through the welcome sign at WDW , i cry at all the fireworks show, fantasmic, wishes spectro, when i see the castle and when i see mickey, last year i saw the rope drop ceremony at MK for the 1st time and guess what ... cried there too. my two boys just get embarassed and tell me off for crying !!

even had to go into the disney store when we were on holiday down south to get my disney fix, cos i wasnt near the computer for the Dis.:rotfl: :rotfl:

hopefully there next year.

That's a fantastic piece of music for your wedding! I cried at my own wedding, just getting out of the car! It's a very emotional time, good luck:hug:
