I must say that I really can't wait for this trip! I know from past experience that as soon as we hit the gate, or see a parade, or see DD's pure pleasure at seeing a character or spinning a teacup or riding BTMRR, that the tears well up for me. Literally tears of joy! I love that Disney is a good escape, where we can literally leave some problems behind and live in Fantasyland for a while. This year has been a challenging one for us, and we really can't wait for vacation to start.

Sooo, if you see a teary-eyed woman standing at the entrance to the MK next weekend smiling like crazy, it's probably just me! :wave2: If anyone else finds themselves a little weepy, I'll be the one with lots of tissues--and I'll happily give you one!

Oh, yeah...That would be me, too. We are leaving tomorrow. I just took a break from packing to see what I'm missing on the boards tonight. Can't wait to get teary myself!
Maybe we'll run into each other, Tinkerbell6!

I get tearyeyed watching Wishes on this website! It just gives me such a good feeling to remember the great time I had when we went to Disney last October. Must be that's why I have to go back in August!!

I see Disney commercials and I well up. To boot I'll be PMS'*** really bad when we arrive next week. I've already prewarned DH that the waterworks will most likely fly BIG TIME!!!

I get a little misty eyes when I watch the beauty and the beast show as I am a huge fan. I am a guy so tell nobody.

I still well up when I think of the wonderful CM who gave me my first pair of mouse ears, and made me an honorary Mouseketeer . . .she made me believe in the magic! Cora rocks!

I get teary when I hear the parade & Wishes music. I even get teary walking through Downtown Disney Marketplace and hearing the Disney music over the loudspeakers...

 Me too!!! When DH and I took our six year old son in 2004, I kept tearing up, now I see that is normal! :)

This year has been a tough one for us to, I was diagnosed with diabetes, my father died of cancer in June, my DH lost his job due to company sizing in Oct. (thankfully he started his own company and is doing so well we can afford to go to Disney!!!). This year, my sister, two nieces and my 72 year old Mom are going with us~their first time to Disney and I just know I'm going to cry again!

Maybe the question should be... who DOESN'T tear up????

I did too... and I haven't even seen it in person yet.

It's so good to know I'm not the only one who tears up. The first time it happened was our first night we arrived and I saw Illuminations. I felt so stupid, "What the heck is wrong with me?" You see, magic was happening, yet I was unaware:p Then the following year we took our 4 yr old, forget it- I was a mess....Then I understood:)

Do I get weepy?

Every time I see a Disney commercial, the week before our trips, at the airport, and as soon as we enter the area. The whole family cries as we leave-even my teenagers! During our last trip two weeks ago I literally boo-hooed at Wishes! People think I am crazy because I have such a Disney heart. To those people I feel sorry for because they have not had the wonderful experiences I have had there-they have lost their inner child! There is no where else in the world where you can totally escape reality and experience such magic!

I don't get teary. My mother and I turn into little kids though! Last time, she was running around with her camera at Epcot shrieking in delight (it was pretty funny actually). Well, as she literally ran by me, I stepped on her foot by accident (I was looking in the other direction). She went flying, skinned both her knees and broke her camera. My dad was pissed at me, but my mom didn't even let it faze her. Told you she turns into a little kid! As for me, I've always wanted to move into Cinderella Castle. Think there are any vacancies? ;)

we've had a rough year also. My dh works for Lucent and for over two years they've been downsizing but my dh has been hangin on. Every few months there are lay offs but my dh survives! Then after xmas he gave me the go ahead to book our Disney trip for April. We've been waiting for years to take the kids. Well, last week they told him he is getting let go mid March !!! but oh well the trip is already paid for!!! we are going anyway. (HEY YOU JUST LOST YOUR JOB WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO NOW/? WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD)!!

Just reading these wonderful stories, makes me teary. Here I am sitting at work thinking about where I will be next week at this time. Walking through the Gates at Magic Kingdom. Just seeing the Castle is such a beautiful experience. It makes me feel good to know that others share the joy, we should spread it around to others who are on the negative side! ::MickeyMo

I'm such a sap, I get teary over so much, a lot of it posted here.

The worst for me is driving in, when the road signs all turn purple. Then I know I'm home.

I get teary when we listen to CD's in the car, when I listen to live365 stations, when I read peoples trip reports, when we land, when we check in, when I am on hold making a PS, when we watch our vacation videos, look at pictures, the list could on forever!

:D
