So I spend hours "planing" our trip online like the new system demands you do...

Then I watch some you tube videos of Disney and suddenly remember a restaurant I want to try.

Spend another hour re-planning fp's around a dinning rez

Then peruse Disney boards and find out about a new experience I have to try...

Replan.

Back to Disney boards. Then notice flaws in my FP's strategy and get good tips on better strategy

Replan.

Daydream and peruse disney site. Notice a closure and a new restaurant.

Replan.

Finally, after endless hours planing, re-planning and pulling my hair out in frustration trying to get everything to line up just right, I have everything as perfect as I can get it. Phew.

Relax.

5 days before we leave, back on DISforum...second guessing myself lol.

Umm...replan?

Does this happen to anyone else? lol

Not usually. The only time I remember doing a reshuffle is if an ADR shows up as available that hadn't been. That does tend to happen sometimes. I guess as the date gets closer, people cancel overlapping plans, or their trip altogether (I realize onsite has to lock in their overall trip over a month in advance, but offsite plans can often be cancelled just a day ahead). Other than that, I tend not to tinker with it too much...

I had everything almost perfect, all my ADRs, and set up for March 31st FP+ picking day for a 6 night June trip.. then we discovered an unexpected date conflict we missed, and had to either push everything forward to April for a 5 night trip or to August for a 4 day trip... so we pick April the same day we realized the conflict, and the only arrival date that worked was 61 days out... aka time to chose FP+ was THE VERY NEXT DAY! I chose my FP+ at almost random times just to get rides we wanted, but was able to change most of them around over the next couple hyper focused planning days. I also got almost every ADR I wanted by stalking, checking the site, and calling multiple times a day! Just want to change a 2-person CRT breakfast to 3, and to change a lunch ADR for Akershus to dinner.

Not quite the same situation as OP but since our days changed, thus activities (like F&G!) changed so I've spent days and days replanning and organizing everything!

At first I was frantic but now it's fun... however, as a college student, I've had to promise myself to turn off Disney at 12:30 today and no Disney until Tuesday evening, other than a 30 minute morning and nightly window to check for ROL dining package updates. hahaha.

Lol ... totally agree with you! Like wdwnut61 said, it's like an obsession, a sickness :rotfl2:
I love the planning and tweaking! After I booked my ADR's last week, I ended up changing one of them about 3 hours after I made them :confused3

I always end up with 1 ADR I just can't fit in smoothly and spend ages re tweaking to try and fit it in.

definitely replanners here. A big part for me is that DP and I both do contract work. We can't always know our schedule 180 days out, so we've always been "behind" on reservations. This usually works out totally fine, but it means sometimes we have to rearrange schedules to fit in ADRs as we find them, especially for our top picks.

Disney makes replanning necessary too: we'll be in the world in 5 weeks and Club Villain dates/times were just announced, and we're still waiting to hear about ROL possibilities. These 2 pieces mean changing things around on our final days, and I'm still not sure what the final result will be!

I'm getting anxious just thinking of starting the planning, I sure hope that I can stick with it, but like you I always think I can do better. We are planning for 11 of us so once we have a plan we may just have to stick with it. good luck.

I found myself making small FP time updates (e.g., moving a 10:10 am to 10:05 am) for no reason beyond I wasn't ready to be out of the planning phase.

Trying not to replan fro RoL opening. I am hoping our ADR at Jiko is early enough to come back and see RoL with our 3rd Fastpass at AK on 4/27.

Although I did add ADR for and 8am breakfast in HS so that I can sign up the kids for Jedi Training....

It really is a sickness, isn't it? 12-step Disney Planning Addiction Meeting in my Future?

LOL! I actually built in replans into my planning, if that makes any sense. As it is a surprise trip, I have the first few days pretty firm (I hope), but the last 2-3 are more flexible so we can try to do what the kids want as they will then know which parks they want to visit again and so on. I'm hoping the rest works out!
