Does anyone else cry at the parades or fireworks?

Not at parades or fireworks, but I always well up at the film at Walt Disney: One Man's Dream at DHS. One time my boyfriend looked at me before the film began and said, "Now don't start crying!". A woman in front of us turned around and said to me. "I always cry here too!"

Yes, I cry when I am in person at MK watching Wishes. IDK what it is about that show, because I can listen to it at home and I'm fine, but get me there in the park and I sob. Illuminations has made me cry a few times. The Tangled part of the castle pre-show.

And I have an affinity for SpectroMagic! and used to get emotional. I miss that parade so much. Sad that it's never coming back.

While I didn't cry, I did get emotional when ever I see videos of Spectromagic. Especially the finale with all the classic Disney characters. If the parade ever returns, they should add new characters for the final. However, I did cry during my first trip in 2004, when I was on the ferry and seeing the Cinderella Castle shine in the distance. Didn't help that Mickey was waving farewell at the guests and talking to some of the people as the park closes. Does Mickey still do that anymore?

Spectro is unfortunately never coming back. They destroyed and disposed of the floats.

i get teary eyed when watching illuminations.
the song "we go on" makes me emotional in a good way.
also when i see it during the christmas season i get teary eyed during "let there be peace on earth".


nobody is paying attention to you, they are paying attention to the parade/fireworks so i would not feel like an idiot if you do start crying.

Yes - parades! And when they play music! And even the disney opening credits of the castle before their movies. I was never like that before having a kid! haha

But I cry a lot. Most movies, sporting events, etc.

Wishes and Fantasmic in particular always make me cry. The first walk down Main Street is always emotional too!

Every. Single. Time. Disney is pretty much the one place I can be guaranteed a few tears. I'm not an emotional person, but Disney just makes me emotional.

I get emotional all the time. I always cry during the projection show, during fireworks, when DD meets the princesses and characters, when we ride dumbo, there are a lot of things that get me choked up at Disney.

I sometimes get a little teary eyed at the commercials.

I don't know why it gets me like it does, but Disney just touches a part of me.

I cry during the opening ceremony at MK, during Wishes, when Mickey appears during Fantasmic...

But then again, I also cry when Iron Maiden takes the stage and the Minnesota Vikings come out of the tunnel onto the field, so I guess I'm just overly emotional

Hahahaha, this is me. I get teary because I feel so much emotion. Like when I see the Lion King Musical or Book of Mormon musical. Either will make me so happy I almost cry lol.

Actually on this trip I got teary during the magical express video . Also I almost broke down and sat in the street of Hollywood Studios, and cried because of the heat. That would have been kinda embarrassing...

I have yet to but I remember having that quick moment of happiness and sadness while seeing Wishes for the very first time, right in front of Cinderella's castle. I remember watching the fireworks and thinking about how amazing of a place I was standing in that very moment. With hundreds, maybe thousands of other people who were happy just like me. Sometimes all it takes are colorful fireworks in the night to make you realize the little things.

The morning show makes me watery eyes, but its mostly because I miss going with my grandparents.

MK closing speech made me cry a couple of times...

Leaving Disney makes me cry every time. My husband always says don't worry we will be back.

Wow. I dont feel so bad now lol. I totally agree with the person who said its just -so- much emotion....thats what does it for me. I cry at every Disney movie too. Heck, I even cry watching the Miss USA pageant on tv.

And to the person who said they tear up with their daughters meet the Princesses.....oh my. I raised 2 boys and have never got to do the Princess thing. My first grandchild is due in Sept and its a girl. I cant wait!

I cry watching my kids experience Disney World. When DD danced with the Beast in her Belle gown and he bowed to her. LOL
I was never a baby until I had my kids. Saw projection show for the first time this year and had a lump in my throat the entire time.
I got teary eyed watching Elsa light up castle on you tube...lol
Can't imagine it live. I'm fearful I'd be a basket case during the holiday time. I can barely handle Halloween time..lol

Being an Avalanche fan I imagine you did some crying.

But what can I say, I'm a Bruins fan and we didn't even make the playoffs.

I always cry. I cry the first time I see the castle, I cry during Wishes, during most shows featuring or paying homage to Walt...

It sounds so dumb, but if I cant say it here, where can I say it; I am just so thankful that Walt existed, and that he did everything in his life the exact way he did. Who knows, if he missed that train and never drew Mickey and never had a dream- I can't imagine how much less happiness life would have. And I know that seems really materialistic and borderline overboard... I digress. When I think of Walt's life, and what his dream has done... I cry.

I cry when I go under the arch upon arrival, durng the MK morning welcome show, Wishes and when I leave, exiting under the arch. And I cry on the bus watching the military reunions on Magical Express........sob is more like it!
