Does anyone do blockbuster online?

I'm curious and can't find the info on the website. I have Season 4 of the West Wing in my Q. There are 4 discs in the set and they group them all together. It won't let me move the set separately without "breaking the set" so I have the 4 discs in spaces 1,2,3,4 in my Q. Does it know not to send me disc 2 until I send back disc one? Or do I have to "break the set" so that it will send a different movie in between.

i did blockbuster online for the free month and loved but unfortunately my family is going through some rough financial times anddd had to drop it

I'm hoping that the new setup that they've been advertising will take this "rule" away. I wanted Ken Burns' Civil War. But, I wanted it in small sips instead of a giant gulp. I got up to disk 3 and finally cancelled the remaining 3 disks. The only way that I can see around this is that you get the first disk, cancel the rest, reorder without the first one, cancel the rest.

I want my movies when I want them. If there is a new movie that I want more than to watch a set of movies, I should have that option. Netflix made it easier to do that than Blockbuster, but I DEFINITELY like Blockbuster better for a lot of other reasons. At least they don't throttle me like Netflix did. They also seem to have more copies of movies than Netflix.

I that case, I do Netflix, too. And you can switch your Q around any way you want. :)

;) :goodvibes

No, it doesn't know the difference between discs 1-4. I would break the set and put a movie in the middle if you want to see them in order. I had all of the Friends dvds in order in my Q and it sent them all out of order according to which one was available at that time. You might get lucky and get them in order if they show "no wait". If you don't want to chance it I would break them up a little.

I use blockbuster and generally break the sets once they are in my queue. This way I can get a movie or 2 in the middle of a series of television. Also, they do not have a rule that will wait until you get disk 1 before they send disk 2. There have been times where I got the second disk first and had to hold on to it at home until they sent the first disk, especially since it was a tv show I wanted to watch in order

OK thanks. I'll break the set then. It seemed to make a big deal about "breaking the set" that I was wondering if it was "smart" and knew when to send them. I guess not, huh? :)

Yes. Netflix makes it easier in regards to ordering the queue with multiple disc sets. One of the reasons why I love Netflix better.

Besides, I hate Blockbuster for many reasons. One of them is that yes, they may have more copies. Gee, I wonder why? Could it possibly be that they are owned by the same corporation that owns Paramount? And is it because they can get all those title for only $5 or less when every other company has to pay full price? :scratchin
That's only one reason I hate them. Sorry to go OT here, but I truly can not stand them!

Maybe that's the reason that they've never throttled me. The thing I like best is that they send me 2 coupons a month for free new release rentals. If I don't have movies back by Monday to get my new release, I can get to Blockbuster on Tuesday morning and get what I want... when I want it. With Netflix, even if they got my movies back on Monday, it was hit or miss as to whether I'd get my first choice. Usually they'd wait until Tuesday, with my top pick still showing available and they'd send me #20 in my queue.

I'm not trying to pick a fight with you. I'm just demonstrating that I feel as passionately against Netflix as you do about Blockbuster.

I know.
I have many other reasons for hating Blockbuster which I won't go into.

I almost always get my first choice in my Netflix queue. But then again, I have almost 400 titles in it and the newest releases are not my first choices.

But, to each their own. :goodvibes
