that im doing

I do a little. My Mom cross stitches like I scrapbook. if you have any questions let me know Either I will help or I will ask my mom.My Mom is 72 her pieces are so beautiful the back side looks as good as the front. I dont know how she does that. I have made i ccompleted item and ababy blanket I started oone for my som (he is now 8) so I think I will wait to finish it for Grand children:

I do, although I must say scrapping has taken over my life. I cross-stitched alot more before I discovered scrapbooking. I've made some great pieces over the years, and have a Tinkerbelle flying over Cinderella's castle that I hope to be starting soon. I still need to find some navy blue aida cloth, as what came with the kit is way too stiff for me to work on. Welcome to the DIS, you're gonna love it here.

I used to but I can't seem to see it anymore. I was doing 18 then switched to 14. I can't see that anymore. My friend uses those magnifying glass you can get at the store. I should try those as I have several projects that I have put away that only need a bit more to finish them.

Finishing Tink over the castle now. Just have a couple of the firework bursts to complete. DH asked what I wanted for my birthday this week and I told him he could get it framed for me since we can't go back to WDW right now. When I finish this one I'm going to work on some princesses for my DGDs rooms.

Hi. I cross stitch sometimes. I have 5 bins full of DMC floss all organized by number. The last project I did was a group picture of vintage Strawberry Shortcake for a friend of mine.

Those doing Tink over the castle- how was it?? I hate 1/4 stitches and I saw quite a few. Did you do them and if you did, how did you do them??

All of the Disney patterns have a zillion 1/4 stitches. That's one of the reasons I, MIL, and SIL don't do them. The other reason is the vast expanses of one color. BORING.

I love to cross stitch, but haven't done much since xmas. (heh heh, no pun intended). I mostly do patterns on linen anymore, and have started some over one stuff recently. I really love the look of over one... but I'm so picky about patterns it's hard for me to find things I like.

I love to cross-stitch, but have given it up lately to fit in more scrapbooking time. I figure I'll have plenty of time to stitch when my kids are grown and there are no more fun little events to scrap. .......................P

Louise, hi, so nice to "see" you again! Actually, I haven't even started the Tinkerbelle castle cross-stitch yet. I bought it for my mom to do for me, she has made me many fabulous pieces, but in the past few years she's been saying she can't see as well to do them anymore, and that she doesn't have the patience like she use to. I was hoping the Tinkerbelle kit would motivate her to start cross-stitching again. When she saw how many half stitches there were, she said "forget it", and handed it back to me . Now I have to do it, darn it! I really do enjoy cross-stitching, but I'm trying to find more time to do my scrapping. If I ever get Tinkerbelle started, I'll let you all know how it's going.

I made that Tink over the Castle but I left Tink off. The castle was tough, lots of color changes and I don't carry thread more than 2 squares so I had alot of color changes to do.
I did it on a dark blue sweater and I wear it quite often. Everyone thinks at first it was painted on, until I show them the inside. but I have been doing cross stitch for many years, and the inside looks just as good as the outside only with straight lines instead of the crosses.
I have been trying for years to find the pattern to Mickey Filmstrip. If anyone has it could you send me a copy. It is many Mickeys through the years with the design of Filmstrip on both sides.
I only saw it for sale once on a UK website, but they did not ship to the US. And that was before the DIS boards when I didn't know anyone who lived in the UK.
I am working on the Self Portrait now on a Grey sweatshirt. I have it 1/2 finished but I agree, the 1/4 stitches are ridiculous. I have gotten to the point where I don't do them as 1/4, but as 1/2 and no one notices. Peggie

Not only do I cross stitch, I design cross stitch and am in the process of starting my own design company. Haven't published my first patterns yet, I'm still waiting for the $$ to have them printed, but once I do I hope people like them!


I need to bring out that Disney Castle pattern again. I got it a year or two ago and started the castle but never got very far.
