Does anyone check in at night?

What is the latest you can check in?? We planned on vacationing Friday to Friday but then I thought of flying out Thursday night and although we'd be getting in late and just going to bed, we'd gain half of the next day for fun/parks, etc.

I will not do this paying rack rate of $149 (we are staying POFQ) but if a good code came out and room was under $100 it might be worth it since I'd be saving about that much on airfare (lower rates for friday morning are sold out, but thurs. night is wide open).

Does anyone do this? We'd be arriving in MCO at 7:35pm, so wouldn't get to our resort until closer to 9pm I'd imagine.

We arrived at MCO around 11:15 on a trip a couple years ago. We didn't get to our resort until after midnight.

I just called and told the CM at CRO what time we were arriving and it wasn't a problem.

How late can you check in? I think they will take you at any time, since you have already paid. But then you have to check out almost as soon as you wake up!!!
Gosh. On our first trip, we arrived late and did not check in until midnight. (Thank you Continental Airlines.) I later decided that if we were to check in late, sleep, and check out by 11, we might as well be in the Motel 6 on 192. It's just beds and a bathroom. And we have followed that rule ever since. If you are actually checking into Disney, get there early and enjoy the place, even if you can't get into your room early. You are paying for it.

I would say it depends on the rate you are getting. We, too, will be arriving very late (try 1 a.m. - thank you, American Airlines). The original plan was to crash somewhere off-site, and then check-in the next day. However, any of the places I would feel comfortable staying off-site were all showing rates starting at $89/night! I was able to book a night at Pop for $74 with an AP discount - and we'll get to take a sneak peak at a Value to see if it is somewhere we'd ever feel comfortable staying for a budget trip! Win-win, all around. :earboy2:

You did well.

I didn't mean that everyone checks in at midnight then leaves the next day. I just meant that if you are paying for four nights, might as well enjoy four full days.

I once checked into CBR around 10:00pm it was nice to be able to get up and go to the parks the next day vs having flown in, checked in, and then gone to the parks all day...I felt more rested and didn't feel the urge to sleep in my "first full' day there then.

We will be checking in tonight around 7:30 pm. I am looking forward to a tall cold beverage and a quick exploration of the resort after we unpack!

I have gotten in 10 - 11 pm before. I don't mind at all - gives me a jump on the next day......

We have checked in after midnight before. We called to make sure the would keep our room, we got stuck..bad accident on highway.

Just make sure you let them know you will be having a late, late arrival.

Our flight lands at 10pm for our upcoming trip! We picked the cheapest airfare and decided to go for an extra day. Now, we have a very late flight instead of our original plan to fly out early. I'm glad we decided to do this. I'd rather get there, sleep, and wake up fresh the next morning. I get exhausted from traveling all day. Even when we leave early, I'm beat by the time we get there.

If you have a room now with an AP code just see if you can add a night at the beginning, this way you wont have to move.

We wouldn't be checking out the next day, we would be arriving about 9pm Thursday night, checking into the resort and not leaving till the following Friday. Originally we'd be getting to our resort about 1pm friday, therefore losing out on half the day. Like I said, I'd only do the extra night with a good code, which I'm still patiently waiting for, LOL!!!!

The best thing is airfare flying out the night before would save us about $120 on airfare, so I don't mind paying that for the room since it gives us that "jump start" on the vacation.
