Does AKL allow five in a room?

Planning for next trip, but next trip little one will not be considered infant. Does AKL allow five in a room?

I think they took the 5-in-a-room rooms and made them part of the Vacation Club. I believe there are certain rooms at the other deluxes that hold 5, I know the Contemporary does.

No they don't. Only 4 + 1 under 3. They do have the suites.

OH NO AKL is our new fave resort and they don't allow five in a room The suites are too expensive and two standard rooms are too expensive as well for our budget

AKL only has rooms for four plus one under the age of three. All the deluxe rooms were converted to DVC villas. Like someone said, you could get a suite or a one bedroom villa.

Yes, quite a bit smaller. They're slightly larger than the rooms at Caribbean Beach...or the same size. It sounds like the ones that were bigger were the deluxe rooms, which they took to make dvc villas. So, if all that's left are the standard room then they're about the size of Caribbean Beach. Same is true at Wilderness Lodge.

Hi. You can reserve a one bedroom villa which will sleep 5 (not a VALUE category 1 bedroom, FYI).

I think PO or POFQ have the trudle bed option in some of their rooms. They sleep 5. Maybe try there???

During our recent stay (returned home last Wednesday) I didn't think the AKL rooms were smaller then BC. We had a standard room at AKL and at BC and I found them to be about the same size, it seemed the same size as WL too. I don't know the sq. foot but they seemed to be about the same size rooms.

WL doesn't allow five in room? Okay, which resort standard room do allow five in a room?

I thought all 1-bedrooms only slept 4? 1 king bed and 1 sleeper sofa.

POR allows 5 people. So you are fine there. I think the other poster was just saying not to sneak a 5th person into a room at the AKL because they don't allow 5 people.

POR allows 5 in their "limited" trundle rooms. . .my son is huge(think 15 yo but 6 feet tall) but would get a kick out of sleeping on a trundle. . .but he would sleep propped in a corner with a sleeping bag if allowed. . .that being said. . .for value I would chose POR. . .its a BEAUTIFUL resort. . .if you want a deluxe accommodation choose anything but AKL and WL. . .or their studio villas. . .you will be fine. . .If you really have your heart set on AKL. . .take a one bedroom at AKV. . .I think there are some available already. . .

Studio Accommodations:
Sleeps 4, queen-size bed and full-size sofa bed. Flat panel TV and DVD. Wet bar, small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker, private balcony.


One-Bedroom Villas:
Value one-bedrooms sleep 4, other categories sleep 5. There is no sleeper chair in the Value category. The Master Bedroom has a king size bed, master bathroom with whirlpool tub. There is a queen-size sofa bed in living room. Flat panel TV and DVD player in living room, flat panel TV in master bedroom. Full kitchen facilities. Laundry area with stackable washer and dryer. Private balcony. Non-value one-bedroom villa is 710 sq.ft.


Two-bedroom Villas:
Five of these rooms are in the value category (945 sq.ft.). Each two-bedroom villa sleeps up to nine. Master bedroom suite with king-size bed. Flat panel TV and DVD player in living room, flat panel TV in master bedroom. Full kitchen facilities. Laundry area with stackable washer and dryer. Private balcony. Non-value two-bedroom villas are 1,075 sq. ft.

Grand Villas - one-story - all have Savanna view. Sleep up to 12.

Because AKL says their room occupancy is 4 plus 1 child under 3 in a Pack-N-Play. If the child is 3, the family is too big for the AKL rooms. I felt the insinuation of the previous poster was to lie about the child's age, which I feel is wrong.

If you have a family of 5 and have properly identified your family as such and are staying in the trundle rooms at POR, then you are within the occupancy limits.
