Documents not in, no cabin assigned?

Wow! My cruise is on Jan.8th and no documents yet!! If this means an upgrade then its worth the anxiety but otherwise,,,,way too close for my comfort!

tambo....please let me know how you do...I also booked a gty 10....interested in knowing how well you do.

Everyone else.....could someone tell me the average cost of upgrading from a 10 to maybe a room with verandah if there is one available? Are we talking 1000's? I am interested. I was spoiled my first cruise with a verandah but went with the cat 10 this time....could kick myself!!!

So, its only 13 days and counting and we have yet to receive any documents or cabin assignment ( we booked at Cat 10 guarantee)...is this normal? And why do they wait so long....I would love to know what 2 cabins I have beeen assigned too!

i was given my cabin number when i made the reservation and i am not cruising until 12/06

My in-laws were booked in a Cat. 11 and upgraded to a Cat. 5 for about $680 on our 7-night Western. (We would have taken a Cat 6 or 7, but all they had left was a Cat 5).

Okay, docs just came in- we were assigned cabins 7120 and 7122...can anyone tell me what cats these are and what to expect? I think it may be an upgrade from my gty cat 10!!!

Both are considered categoty 7's and are non-connecting to each other. 7120 used to be a category 5, but was recently re-classified to a category 7, because the veranda is partially obstructed by the curve of the ship. So, basically you have a free veranda in 7120.

They are Cat 7's with Navigators verandahs...

My TA told me not to expect the docs until about 1 week prior to sailing. She said they use to send them out earlier but had made a change recently and they now send them out about a week in advance. That's kind of nerve wracking for us planners and worriers but I'm sure everything will be fine. Hope you have a magical cruise!
