Mouth hanging open after tonight's episode. Not sure how long after the airing we can talk specifics, so I'll be cryptic so as not to spoil anyone.

Even though I knew that a certain someone was going to show up (thanks overzealous Brits on YouTube), I'd forgotten all about it and was blindsided when it happened. That person looked so sad. And the Doctor saying he wanted a mate? Uh... still not sure how to take that one, LOL.

Some of you may not know..Doctor WHo was supposed to come back in the mid -90's as an American production... The show Sliders killed it, Thank G-d

I agree with you there. Btw, is that the one where Sylvester handed it off to the next incarnation? If so, it just wasn't the same. I can't put my finger on it, but they were missing something that the classic series had.

The new series is doing great now and I hope it continues. I'm wondering, however, what they will do once The Doctor runs out of regenerations .

I had to rewind the DVR to go back and watch that whole window scene again and DH and I laughed as hard the second time as we did the first. Her mouthing the words "OMG!!!" was classic. She's such a character and they have such good chemistry together.

The movie was awful..It was full of car chases and violence... That's not really Doctor Who..They Americanized it... Americanized is OK for some things, but I want Doctor Who to be British..It's the Britishness that is a big appeal to most.
If they had made it into a series, an American one, it would have crashed and burned, and that would have been the end of DW on TV
BTW, Sylvester did not like the movie, although he loves McGann

I thought it was ok, but you're right. It had too much violence in it and it definately would have flopped if they made it here. It needs to be British!

I was laughing hysterically during that scene! What was so funny is that I could actually tell most of what they were saying; I wasn't expecting that. Fantastic actors.

I sat there like an idiot with my eyes wide and my mouth hanging open, and what I'm sure was the most stricken look on my face. My dad usually jokes around during the shows (annoys me to no end), and he was about to say something but he saw me and shut up.
