What are these Docs that I have read about in regards to the Cruise? We'll be getting our info and detailed intinerary on Thursday, at the Make A Wish sendoff party. What forms do we need to fill out? Is it simple? Will 1 day be enough time to fill everything out?

Also, what does "gty" mean pertaining to Staterooms and upgrades?

Thanks in advance.

Docs are documents--the forms you fill in, luggage tags, etc. It all comes together in a package along with instructions for completion. You will fill out/sign a credit card authorization for on board purchases, a cruise contract, Bahamas immigration form, etc. All relatively easy and painless. Anything that isnt' correct can be fixed in 2 minutes at the port. It takes about 15 minutes per passenger to do it on your own. On one cruise we booked late and picked up docs at the port--it took 5 minutes with the CM

Gty stands for guarantee. That means that when you booked, you didn't get assigned a stateroom, but you are guaranteed that your room will be no lower than whatever the gty is--for instance, if you booked a gty9, you will be in a 9 or above. Most commonly, gty is available at lower categories--11 or 12. It is a way that DCL can control inventory and continue to fill the ship. A low gty frequently results in an upgrade ...at least in our experience of 10 cruises, 3 upgrades. We were upgraded once from a booked stateroom, twice from a gty. No one is unhappy about a free upgrade, right?
