Remember this one from 2007? I received a class action settlement notice today that my husband and I will each receive a $75 voucher for Dockers merchandise, since we did not get our free flight or comparable payment. I think we spent $125 each in merchandise to get the free flight that we never received.

Nice! I think I wound up getting back the money I spent from them. I honestly can't remember...the joys of being over 40! :rolleyes1

I think they said there were too many participants. They also said that gas prices soared up, unexpectedly. :confused3

so 4 years later and youll get 75. that'll get you a shirt :rotfl:
Glad you got something!

The only Dockers deal I did was the "spend $100 and get $75 in Shell gas cards."

I loved that one. DH got one and I got one. We spent a total of $225 with tax and got $150 in gas cards.

So, $75 for 7 pairs of pants.

Also, about 3 years ago they sent each of us a check for $125 (I think that is the right amount) to replace the clothing we had to purchase. This will be the 2nd check we receive. I'm not complaining at all.:thumbsup

I'm confused - did you wear the clothes or did you "Have" to purchase them just for tickets?

Wow, Dockers made a big mistake with that promotion, but I think having to pay back the people as if the clothes had no value seems a bit much.

I guess it makes participating in these promotions worth it! Money back plus more for your trouble, plus getting to use the original merchandise. I'm going to have to start looking for this kind of stuff I guess.

DH wears Dockers most days, so we did not care if we got the free tickets or not.

Quick question, did you have to file to be part of the class action?? Tx!

No. We did not even know their was one until we received the letter yesterday.

"Lawyers for the class say that, after investigating the facts, the proposed settlement is an excellent result. Thousands of consumers who made qualifying purchases and returned all the paperwork asked for will be eligible to receive a $150 check and $100 in free Dockers® merchandise. People who made qualifying purchases but did not return a form requesting flight dates and destinations will be eligible to receive $75 in free Dockers® merchandise. And participants who received partial benefits will also be eligible to receive the $75 free Dockers® merchandise award. No further purchases are required to receive the benefits of the settlement—class members need only make a claim for benefits. Notice of the proposed settlement, and information on how to make a claim, will be mailed directly to those who are eligible to participate. Further information may be obtained from the Settlement Administrator by calling (888) 429-0697. "

I wonder if anything is going to come through for those of us who didn't get our free hotel rooms...

I got this today also. I am packing to move and saw the folder with everything about a month ago and almost threw it away but then kept it for some strange reason. Will be interesting to see what comes out of the settlement.

What are partial benefits? We got our flights and my SIL and brother got their flights too, after we all went through the BBB.

So do you think we should still fill out the forms? I said NO way, theres no point! But my SIL said yes! :confused3 She's usually pretty smart ;) but I think she's totally wrong.
What do you all think?

I didn't go after this promotion for a free flight. However, I was supposed to get two free flights for a renewing my T-Mobile contract a few years ago. Trying to get the flights was probably one of the worst dealings with a business ever. So much run around and no follow thru. Never did end up getting them.

Then guess what I got in the mail a few months ago? Settlement papers for a class action lawsuit. Seems to a commom theme here.

Now anytime I see a something for free flights I just keep on moving. Kodak Gallery was offering them recently. I was hoping people would do some research on these types of offers and realize they are just a scam. I am sure a quick google search would bring up many unhappy receipents.

I didn't receive a free flight. However, I received a check, I think. It has been so long. However, DH didn't receive anything. I think DH should qualify for Type A and I should qualify for Type B. However, both our letters said we qualify for Type B. Do you think they sent that Type B letter to everyone? Did anyone receive a Type A letter here??

I don't think I have the paperwork anymore. I fought it for a long time but finally gave up. I probably threw the stuff out when we moved in 2009. Although, I think I might go through our 2007 tax file box and see if I maybe threw it in there.

I did get a type A letter... didn't pay much attention until reading this thread then went back to re-read.
