DH and I finally moved furniture into one of our spare rooms at the new house this weekend and I was ready to make the bed with the nice clean sheets I just washed. DH couldn't understand what I was doing as the sheets I was putting on the bed were pink and the only comforter that I had at the moment was green and jewel toned :confused3 We never matched our sheets to the comforter set growing up so I have all kinds of cute sheets :goodvibes DH thinks I'm nuts :rotfl:

We went out and looked at some new sets for the extra bedrooms and bought a few cheap bed-in-a-bag sets to use. I was still going to use the pink comfy sheets with the new gray/black comforter and shams. I don't like those scratchy sheets that come with the sets, I don't want my guests to have to sleep on them either, but DH thinks I should put the matching sheets on 'just because it needs to match' :confused3

Thinking about it, the sheets on our bed don't 'match' as in they did not come as a set with our comforter but they do normally coordinate, only because we have king bed and I don't have that many sheets yet :rolleyes1

So what do you think? Do your sheets, pillowcases, comforter, shams, and bedskirt all match?

Always. I bought the ones that match our comforter, and then I found some solid ones that match at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I switch off between the two sets.

I had my duvet/ruffle/pillows custom made so no, my sheets do not match.

Mine coordinate but don't match. I'm not a big fan of matchy matchy in my own house.

If I was a guest in your house and sleeping in that bed I would want the comfy pink sheets. Cause it is like DH says - close your eyes... what do you see... can you tell the sheets don't match or coordinate for that matter, but you can FEEL the comfy.

Mine always match as well, but I tend to gravitate toward quilts that have a number of colors in them so they're easy to coordinate with. Right now, I have this quilt:

...and I have 3 sets of Beech sheets in pink, cream, and chocolate brown that I rotate through. :goodvibes

Sometimes.

We have two comforters with with matching sheet sets, and two sets of sheets that have coordinating colors. I also made a quilt that uses the colors from both sets.

:cutie:

:thumbsup2 Ditto on all counts. (Though, it's a stretch to say everything 'coordinates'. I try to keep it close - but we buy the best all cotton sheets we can afford and then just so-so comforters - since they dont tough your skin.)

My comforter set is gold and mauve, and my sheets are gold (2 sets) and cream. I did not get the sheets that coordinate with this comforter set (Croscill Love Letter) because they are way too expensive and they are not great sheets.

Nothing in our houses matches, including the bedding;)

Well my 2 youngest do have matching bedding, the theme of their choice, but sometimes all things arent washed at the same time:confused3
Honestly I could care less whether things match or not. I dont have matching towels in the bathroom either. My thinking is that I wash everything on a regular basis. So, if I had an overnight guest, more then likely nothing will match, but everything will be right out of the washer/dryer clean and smelling good:thumbsup2

Sometimes I pick up things for free on freecycle, or people give us towels and bedding they dont want, and I happily accept:thumbsup2

You will never see my house on the cover of Better homes and garden;)

They used to until I found some awesome sheets on clearance at Linens N Things. They don't match, but they feel so nice.

I put coordinates though that's pushing it a bit.

I have a white quilted comforter that goes on my bed when I go on vacation or we're having guests (it's too heavy for me to sleep with). The pillow shams which I also don't use on a everyday basis, are white lace and matches the bed skirt and comforter.

All my sheets are a blue and white striped pattern (one looks like pillow ticking the other is largely whiteish/grey with some pale steel blue lines. I use a white summer blanket and then in winter I will put on a very old quilt that has green and blue fabrics/patterns as my top cover. I also have a old quilted throw that sometimes is on top of my bed also done in blues and greens. So everything is in the same general family and looks fine with the white covers and blanket, but the quilts don't match the stipped sheets at all.

Everything coordinates in my house. :)

I put no but the real answer is sometimes because from time to time the whole set may be on at the same time.:headache:

Amen to that.

For the most part yes. I have three sheet sets two are solid colors-blue and tan and the other is polka dot- blue and green. My bedspread is blue and white and surprisingly it matches! But I'm thinking about getting the matching sheets and pillow cases for the bedspread.

Heck no. However I am going to be like OK and move onto quilts. My sister has done that and it is so nice.

Everything matches with quilts.:goodvibes

We keep Amish made quilts (from Lancaster, PA) on our beds, so no they don't match our sheets. However, they do match the decor of each of the bedrooms.

Nope....have 3 different bedspreads for the different times of the year.
About 6 sets of sheets.....3 of them Disney. I do tend to do blues, so in that regard some of them match,

The main guest rooms are coordinated, but not matching. Bedspread is beachy and sheets are a sea green color.

Second guest room ......just blues.
