She's 16, turning 17 on Monday.
I'm not consenting what she did at all, I'm shocked at how long she's actually kept it from her mom.
Her crazy ex boyfriend told her mom about it, and so she went out and bought cover stuff to hide it in case her mom asked to see it!
Her mom was like show me your tattoo but not in a serious way...

It would be pretty hypocritical if my parents were to tell their children they couldn't get piercings or tattoos.

My mom was actually with me when I got tattoos and peircings done.

I don't think I will ever want a tattoo, and after getting my ears peirced last summer, I won't be getting any more peircings (LOL, I'm a wimp xD)

I haven't really talked to my parents about it.

I got my ears pierced for my 5th birthday, but they got infected pretty badly when I was 6. We figured the holes would close up, so I got them pierced again when I was 7 - right above where the old holes were. When I was about 10 I discovered the first holes never closed up, so now I can use both sets of holes. I don't really like the way I look with two earrings in each ear, so I only wear one pair at a time.

I've considered getting my cartilage pierced, but knowing me it would get infected. I talked to my mom about it when I was 12 or so, and she said no way. I asked her again when I was about 14 and she just looked at me funny and asked, "why do you want to get another piercing when you hardly wear earrings anyways?" I've considered getting it done when I turn 18, which is in a little less than six weeks. I'm still undecided. Even though I would be 18, I would still talk to my mom about it. I'm sure she wouldn't have any issues with it. If I'm about to go off to college, I'm pretty sure I can handle taking care of a cartilage piercing

As far as tattoos go - I've never wanted one. Still don't.

the rules of tattoos and piercings in my house is whenever i'm old enough to get a tattoo, i can. but i don't really want one. and the rule with piercings has changed dramatically since my sister and i have gotten older. but before, we were only allowed to have lobe piercings. but now, that both my sister and i have broken the rules, my mom doesn't really care. i have my cartilage done, i have 2 holes in both lobes. my sister has 3 holes in each lobe, and the middle ones are gauged. now, the only rule is not facial piercings. i'm not so sure about the whole tongue and bellybutton piercings though.

My mom was actually excited the last time I want my ears pierced. (That was the 3rd/4th time, depending on which ear we're talking about. And this is the end of a seires of unfortunate events.) She's not too keen on other types of piercings, but she'll let me get a third lobe hole.

As for tattoos, she said I should get them once I'm out of the house.

My parents are pretty lenient on those things. I just have to check with them first. They let me get a lip piercing and a tattoo. The lip piercing fell out at typhoon lagoon, though.

About a year ago I asked my parents if I could get a labret piercing. They said no. So guess who does it themselves? xD
but they still made me take it out and let it close up.
If I get grades first term next year I can get it redone but idk if I want it done again...

Well, one in each ear is fine, obviously. I've gotten my ears peirced over 5 times? Like Jaimie, they kept getting infected or closed up. I've had them peirced now for about a year, and they're still doing fine, so yay.

I'm not sure how they feel about other peircings or tattoo, because I have no intentions of getting either. I'm sure they'd say no to a tattoo; not sure about other peircings.

My mom is highly against tattoos. She's always saying that they're not worth it, because they start to sag and look gross as you get older.

And she doesn't like the idea of getting more than one piercing on people's ears done either. She says that any more than that "just looks tacky".

i got my belly button at 13, my ears done at about 1. but i dont want anything else so i dont think they have anything to worry about. if they didnt want me to have it done they wouldnt let me.

My parents are weird about piercings. Like I had my first holes in my ears done when I was a baby & haven't had anything since. Plus I think like eyebrows/lips/tounges/etc. are just trashy looking anyway. Like, I love cartildge piercings and belly buttons. But I don't have the stomach for a bellybutton piercing so I want the cartildge but my parents won't let me get it, but my mom loves belly button rings? idk. It's annoying.

My mom doesn't want me to get one, but she says it's my body and, again, as long as I go to a safe tattoo parlor and I'm smart about it, she can't tell me no.

How badly did your tattoo hurt? I want to get mine on my foot, but I hear it's one of the most painful spots to get one.

My feet are seriously all skin and bone, and I'm scared it's gonna hurt real bad. I want to get a tat on the top of my foot, like yours, but closer to my ankle bone, and off to the side slighty.
