Do your kids like reading Goosebumps books??

If so what else do they enjoy reading? My 11 yr old will soon finish the series and I'm trying to find something along those lines, he also likes Harry Potter. Any suggestions?

DS LOVES Goosebumps and Harry Potter. He also got into the Chronicles of Narnia and read all of those.

I started him on the Dragon books..........Eragon and Eldest (thanks to another poster for the names!).

He's also starting on the Hobbit and other Lord of the Rings books.

He wasn't interested in the Wrinkle of Time series........it starts off too slowly.

These won't win any awards, but DS LOVES Butt Wars, Zombie Butts from Uranus. There is also a series that he loved called Uncle John' Bathroom Reader for Kids only. There are about 4 or 5 in the series. Even I found myself reading them, they were really entertaining.

My ds is on a Hardy Boys kick. I think he's working his way through the whole series!

These are my 11 year old son's favorites:

Eragon and Eldest

Artemis Fowl (3 or 4 of them)

Charlie Bone (3 or 4 of them)

Lord of the Rings Trilogy and the Hobbit.

All Harry Potter Books

Inkheart and Inkspell

Although these are fine for a much younger reader, an 11 year old would still get a kick out of them- Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket.

My DS is 8 but reads at a very high level. He read all the Potter books. He is now into a new series by Kathryn Lasky. They are called the Guardians of Ga'hoole and it is sort of like Harry Potter but with owls as the main characters. There are 9 books, I believe. He is really enjoying them. I think they would be the right reading level for an 11 year old, but maybe check it out on Amazon.
