Does the school supply it or do you have to send it in? I have never heard of snacks in school after K before the dis..![]()
Not the poster you quoted, but our school is the same, K-5 and it is either.....you can send something in, or the school will provide a fruit/veggie snack (its 50 cents and they just take it out of the child's lunch account.) The kids can also purchase a milk for snack if they want.
I work in the HS and the kids there will often grab a snack with their lunch, come back through for a snack or come and grab something to take back to class on the way out of the lunch room (immediately after eating lunch..lol) so even the "big" kids like their snack time...lol
I don't have a problem with any of it.
Wonder if other schools around me have snack time after K.
) For parties they ask you send healthy stuff not just cupcakes and candy again none of the teachers we've had so far have had a problem with what any of us have sent in (at least that I'm aware of) But apparently its okay for my school to serve funnel cakes for breakfast but candy and soda are forbidden in school
Do they serve cake and ice cream for lunch?
And yes my kids DO eat breakfast on the days they have funnel cakes.. wouldn't you?
8$ that's more than our local amusement park charges! They are 3.50 or 4.50 I think and oh so yummy!
