Do your dogs sleep in bed with you?

Yes, they both sleep with me and bring their 3 cats:rolleyes2. I'm thinking about getting my own room:rotfl:

Oh yes. Our basset is 6 years old. And we have the stairs for her. Shamefully, I admit there are nights my husband comes to bed and decides not to fight for space, leaving me and Lucy our queen bed. We were camping over the weekend and she slept with her head on my stomach. Love that girl!

Our dogs are crated at night. But if I go to bed early and DH is still up (weekends usually), my beagle girl will come with me until DH goes to bed.

No, but our lab shepherd mix has TWO beds on the floor in our room. One on my side, where he usually starts the night, and the other on DH's side, where he ends up by morning. He jumped up 2-3 times when we first brought him home but we discouraged it, I just can't sleep like that.

But of course! Three of the four of them do. One sleeps with our dd. We have 2 Westies and a Cairn sharing our king sized bed. Dd has a small broken coat JRT. Sometimes one of the Westies will get too crowded and move to the bench at the foot of our bed or to a doggy bed on the floor. But the Cairn sticks tightly to my side every night.

The coonhound sleeps with me when DH isn't around. Our labx mutt is so old, gigantic and has ortho issues so he can no longer jump up on the bed...but he used to.

Every night, DH and I go upstairs to relax with the tv on in bed and snuggle for an hour before go to sleep and the coonhound gets up on the bed and snuggled for an hour. But when it's lights out, she gets down.

My grandfather was a dog trainer and told us to never put the dog on the bed or couch with us. He said that confused the alpha relationship.

i am the alpha and both of my dogs know that. when we used to foster Miniature Pinschers, all of the fosters knew it too.

with all due respect, i disagree with your statement.

Absolutely our dog sleeps with us. ::yes::

My DD got him when she was 18 and he was 2+ (he's 10+ now). He's a bigger chihuahua. I had to rescue him after a few months. I think my SO knew it was a done deal the night we were watching him, and when he (SO) came to bed the dog was laying on his back with his head on SO's pillow, with the blankets pulled up to his chin & his paws hanging over the top.

So that's what's wrong with my chihuahua.

Butters, who is a 70lb lab mix sleeps with 21yodd.

Gracie who is a 50lb border collie mix sleeps all over the place. In my room in a chair or on the floor, in the spare room bed or her favorite place is UNDER my 21yo's bed.

We do not have the dogs sleep with us, however Gracie will sleep in our bed sometimes, esp if I am in the shower or taking a nap.;)

Only when dh isn't here:rotfl:
He won't jump into my bed when dh is home in the bed. My dh yells at him to get down. BUT he sleeps in bed all day if we leave...well even if I am home I find him in my bed. SO since dh is gone he will sleep in his spot. BUT he also likes to make his round and doesn't stay anywhere all night he had to sleep with the kids too. BUT normally he won't sleep in there beds just on the floor.

Same here. Our Boxer was in HEAVEN when DH was deployed. The look on his face when DH was on R&R and when he finally came home was PRICELESS.:rotfl:

Yes, our dog Anna sleeps with us...

No, he sleeps on the couch. My dog isn't allowed upstairs that's where the cats live.. they do NOT get along even though we were told he was good with cats when we brought him home.. they lied. Its best this way.

No, my dog does not sleep in my bed. She has recently started sleeping in my dd's room and sometimes on her bed.

Our yorkie use to sleep with us until I started sleeping with a fan on me, now he sleeps under the bed because he doesn't like the fan!

95% of the time, we have 1 or 2 dogs on the bed with us.

The other 5% of the time, they are executing their visiting rights with the kids and are sleeping with them.

We have a Corgi too- he also doesn't like heights! He can't jump up on too much (well, he can jump on the couch, but we put a stop to that real fast!).

In answer to your question: NO. YUCK. He sleeps in his crate in our dining room. He has for 8 years, and he likes it. There have been many times that someone has forgotten to close the crate at night, and he just stays in there and sleeps anyway.

Gracie, my standard poodle, sleeps with me. She gives me a kiss goodnight before curling up on her side of the bed. :)
