Do your children have a Pixter?

Opinions needed please - (I'm xmas shopping early this year)

If your kids play with this Pixter Creativity hand held computer, what are their ages and what do they think of it?

I have a 10 and a 5 yr old and wondering who it is more age appropriate for or maybe both. It looks like it would be fun to play with and really keep them entertained for quite a while.

I just saw it on a toy store website, but reviews only came up for 4-5 yr olds, although it says for ages 5-12.

Well I can tell you about my house. I got last year for Christmas. DD played with it for 2 weeks. I really think it is geared toward 3-5yos. 6yo dd (then 5) didn't care for it, too simple.

Wouldn't know. DD's 'ate' batteries so I am waiting for them to send me a refund/certificate to buy another one.

DS's 5 and 10 each got one last Christmas. They played with them a lot in the beginning, but now only occassionally....although they DO always play with them in the car on long trips.

My kids got them last year. They were 11, 6 and 2. They still play with them. Mostly in the car. The expansion cartridges keep them from getting bored.

5 yr old DD has one, we use it in the car to keep her occupied. She likes playing with it and we are going to be bringing it on the plane with us when we fly to Florida in Dec.

got one for DD age 6 last Christmas. She didnt really play with it much at all. It sits on the shelf.

I just today looked at the Pixter in the store. I realize it's probably going to be neglected as much as our Magna Doodle.

However, I did spend alot of time playing with a Leap Pad and decided on that for my DS5 instead. I think he'll love this. I do!
