Don't get me wrong, my kids love CBR, but I think they would be content to stay in a cardboard box on the side of the road if that was they only way they could go to WDW!
I agree with the earlier post, that in your son's case it's probably a familiarity thing. Kids hate change and are afraid of the uncertain. After this trip he probably won't want to stay anywhere but POR next time!

Any fits at this age, and they'd be staying home in a MINUTE! 
Thanks for letting a Gram of 6 spout off. I raised two as a single mom for much of the time and they both have tjheir Masters degrees. They did not suffer by having to make decisions. We would sit down and say.....Mom has an extra $5.00 this week. Do we go for ice cream and blow it or do we put it away for our trip? They chose and they lived with the choices.
It looks like mine is not the only one.
