When child # 3 was just starting to doubt the magic, he made a big deal of the fact that Santa's handwriting looked a lot like Mom's. After that, I saved tags from other gifts they received each year and cut off the "From" line. It worked well because most people misspell his name and we could talk about those silly elves that can't spell. Of course, it didn't last long but at least I still have one believer in the house.

?
I like the idea of wrapping the stocking stuffers and putting them in their rooms to unwrap, though, if the book thing doesn't go very well I might try that next year.
? My Dd is 9 and has asked to, but I told her no, not until she had hair under her arms. I don't want her to be teased though (she does wear skirts and shorts to school when it's hot), maybe I need to rethink that.
Downside: Santa may still have to pay him a visit, when he's 40.
