At least once a trip, I get their egg and ham croissant, which is pretty good. But do you wish they had pancakes or french toast or something more than just the croissants as far as hot food?

YES!!!!

to me, the epcot resorts are lacking casual food offerings. I wish they had a food court (like the poly, wl, ak and GF), Just something more than they have. I would like to have simple scrambled eggs without having to go to a TS or room service.

The BC Marketplace is better than nothing, but i would love to see an actual food court anywhere in the YC, BC, BW area (swolphin doesn't count :))

Definitely!:)

On our last vacation, we were there for 14 nights and we ate the ham and egg croissant for 8 breakfasts! Believe me, we were tired of looking at it by the 5th time.

I do wish they had the same selection as other resorts. I understand the lack of space but they really need to add more choices like mickey waffles or pancakes etc.

I hear ya! Maybe they can find a way to put in some food court? It's already a bit of a pill to have to go outside to get to any amenities, but to have the CS offerings so limited...

We just love the
Mickey waffles with strawberry sauce at Capt. Cooks.
Being that the YC is our favorite resort, we would just to have them at the BC Market place.

ITA!

I second that YES!

We'll be at BCV for the 4th time next month. We ignore the BC Marketplace for b-fast. We'll do one full b-fast at Captain's Grille &/or Spoodles and 1-2 stops at the BW Bakery.

But basically we've given up & gone to toast/bagles in the room. In fact, we're bringing our own individual sized PJ & jellies just for those in-room b-fasts!

OP here. Thanks for your feedback. We always bring our own cereal for a quickie bfast on park days. But the off days, I sure do wish they would have more quick offerings. Disney, please listen to us! Examples...sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, pancakes and waffles, to go.:thumbsup2

I just don't see that being a possibility at the Marketplace. Wouldn't they need a full kitchen including venting to do those kind of things? The area is between the lobby and rooms and I can't imagine venting into those areas.;)

The only other option would be bringing in those kinds of food in some kind of hot storage. The quality couldn't be good in such an arrangement.

I wish there were more options too but at least it's better than the BW area which only has the Bakery for quick breakfasts. And the Marketplace has good pastries as well as the croissants and parfaits.

Not counter service but Captain's Grill is very good and relatively fast.

I wish they had Mickey waffles for my DD! For me, I'm fine with a cold breakfast (bring my own cereal and buy milk and maybe some fruit and yogurt).

.

That is exactly what they do for the egg and ham croissants, they cook it somewhere else and bring it in on those metal pans. I watched it last April, as I waited for them to bring some more. I don't see why they can't do the same for other hot foods. Wherever they are making these sandwiches, they can bring more.

I know they do. But how would they keep multiple dishes cooked elsewhere well stocked? There would be constant running and people ticked because this or that had run out. It would be like trying to stock a buffet from a distant kitchen.

And many of those things wouldn't hold up well anyway I think. In fact, I don't think the new type of egg croissants do as well as the kind they had for several years. The original quiche style ones weren't greasy like the current ones.

I guess I wasn't thinking the Marketplace specifically, but ANYPLACE on the BW property which would have a large selection of grab-n-go items, and have hot stuff available grab-n-go during certain hours as well (similar to Captain Cook's at the Poly, for instance). I love that there are so many TS spots in the one hotel, but I would swap one of them out for a CS/grab-n-go place open 24 hours no doubt!

Right now, we too are folks who bring in our own breakfast. Bagels and cream cheese, bananas, and some pastrys we keep in the room to enjoy anytime. Then we can sleep in some days and still have breakfast, or in the case of BW, we have our own "grab n go" available anytime we need it.
