Eew! I was thinking the same thing. With all the sweat, odor & moisture, WHY would you not want to protect the shoes?

For those that don't wear socks, how often do you re-wear a pair of socks (with other shoes) before washing? Days? Weeks? Months?

Yet you put your sockless feet every day in the same pair of Uggs day after day? Get the correlation? It's not the same as wearing sandals. Maybe the sockless bit is the manufacturer's way of making you need to buy a new pair sooner.

Just because you are told you are not supposed to wear socks, doesn't mean you shouldn't.

I sometimes teach workshops in the Bob Ross style of painting, (the PBS shows of painting in an hour.) People always wondered why we don't smack around our brushes against the ladder the way he did. I say, "You ever notice how he laughs every time after he's done that?" He was laughing because he's just sold 20 more brushes to people who do that with him, and their brushes have fallen apart earlier than they should."

I think you missed the point. It was more of a joke than anything...

It also is not the fact that you are not 'supposed' to wear socks, more like you don't 'need' to. Your feet stay warm...

I found out you also don't wear socks with ballerina type shoes. Who knew!

I do! You're not supposed to, but I do. I'd rather have my feet warm! I just try to make sure it doesn't look too horrible.

I can't wear socks with Uggs-they bunch up and get all wonky. Anyway, I thgink my feet would be too warm with socks and Uggs.
