Do you wear make up while cruising?

I definately wear make-up every night to dinner while cruising and during the day I wear waterproof mascara and lipstick or tinted balm with sunblock.

I wear make-up every day, even on weekends and it only takes me about 2 minutes to apply it so it is no big deal to me to apply it during the cruise.

I went and had my eyelashes dyed once, at a very upscale salon. The woman dipped her little stick back into the main pot of black dye, then would use it on my eyelashes, then dip back into the pot. Giant case of cross contamination, giant case of giant papillary conjunctivitis! Watch carefully, ask first-I couldn't wear my contacts for weeks!

I don't, but maybe that's because my wife would get mad at me.
:rotfl:

I only once in a blue moon wear make-up, because I just don't look good with it. Even a little makes me look too different in my own eyes. But I was thinking about those formal pictures on the cruise. I just don't know. I guess I'll decide right before we leave. I'm comfortable with the way I look, but I don't know if I'll look too plain for the shots. I'm going to go back and forth with myself with this until December. If only all my decisions were as trivial as this.

I wear makeup every day (I have a bit of facial scarring from a dumb childhood bike accident). I start with my sunscreen (I never leave the house without it, 12 months a year). I wear waterproof mascara and eyeliner, Colorstay lipstick, and I use L'Oreal Cashmere Perfection. Even last month, in 100 degree heat, I didn't melt. It takes me less than five minutes to get ready, including the time it takes to do my hair!

Now I am a gal that never goes anywhere without makeup. My former next door neighbors could not believe that I'd bathe and make up before going outside to watch my DD play on Saturdays (when she was 3-6 or so).

However, I just got back from 6/26 Wonder. I am from South Alabama and like to think I know something about heat and humidity....but I found out different this week! It was 83% humidity.

I was melting on Sunday, so I skipped the daytime makeup the rest of the week. I applied makeup for dinner....that's it. I applied sunscreen before going into Nassau, it was even too much and I mopped sweat all day.
Keep tissues or a bathcloth with you.

Ship photographers never came up to us during the day, so I didn't have to worry about ugly photos. I wore shades and a visor all day, every day.

I don't walk outside to get the mail without make-up so that would be a definite yes for me. I love taking pictures of my kids and sometimes I end up in them. If I didn't have my make-up on, I would probably break the camera or at least scare people around us.

There was a comprehensive and somewhat contentious thread about this a few weeks ago, I'm looking for the thread now. I was one of the 'pro makeup' people, and my argument was that you'll be seen and photographed more during a disney vacation than at any other time in your life, why not look your best?

there it is!

I look my best with no make up....why try to look like someone I am not?? I have a friend who won't let her husband see her with no make up on!! It crazy!! My skin is smooth and healthy and it is because I don't clog up the pores etc with a bunch of make up!

I just have to say that having smooth and healthy skin is not only attributable to not using make-up - it is also a case of genetics, sun exposure, age, and healthy living (exercise, not smoking, etc.). I personally have bad genetics when it comes to skin (no one in my family tree has particularly great skin regardless of whether they wear makeup) but I do the best I can to limit sun exposure, drink lots of water, no smoking etc. However, my skin is still not pretty - it is smooth with very few wrinkles for my age but it is not pretty - it has lots of variation in coloring (darker areas etc.) and just doesn't look nice without some help.

I am soooo envious of those who do look their best without makeup but I don't feel that if I just quit wearing makeup I would be one of them. So I do the best I can with what I have and that involves wearing makeup.

So I will be the one by the pool, at breakfast, on excursions, at the shows, in the spa, etc. etc. etc. who will have on makeup - it is just how I look my best. For those who look their best without makeup then of course that is the best option for them.

I usually just wear make up in the evenings or port days.On sea days,I let my skin breathe the great sea air.

Yes. Unless I was not going for breakfast and heading straight for the pool or the spa for a treatment. Other than that, yes, I wear make-up.
