Do you 'watch what you eat' at WDW?

Yes I watch it go right into my mouth. ;) I think you walk off what you eat. If you be careful about what you eat then you're not having fun and missing part of the whole trip.

No diet during Disney. We walk so much when are there I think we burned off most of the calories.

And more importantly.

::MickeyMo = No calories!!!

I sure do. I watch all the yummy food going right into my mouth!!! As a member, & a successful member of Weight Watchers, I behave myself & live by the program pretty much everyday. Sorry-this is vacation & it is meant to be a time to forget your worries & relax & live in the magic. Nothing says magic to be like a cheese stuffed pretzel & a frozen coke. I can get those 7 or 10 lbs. off when I get home.:cutie:

Me and 10 yr old son don't, but then we are both on the thin side. My DH does watch what he eats AND exercises too!

I tend to try to lose weight before I go. When I go in the summer it is so hot you sweat and drink water all day so I tend to only eat one big meal and snack. However when I went in December I ate and gained like 6 lbs there.

I follow a southbeach diet way of life and, yes, I do watch what I eat while at Disney World, to a point. I do increase good carbs and proteins while there to compensate for the extra exercise and much increase my water intake. I also will enjoy some desserts while there, but will ere on the side of moderation and split them with my husband and let the kids have the rest (both get tons of exercise and don't have any weight issues, with their ped wanting both to gain weight - sigh). I've been on southbeach for 2 disney vacations and although I slipped off one year after Thanksgiving through Christmas (way too much food that "I" had to prepare), I've had great luck with not gaining weight while on vacation. WDW makes it easier than almost anywhere else simply because the options are so varied. That said, you have to enjoy life and if relaxing a diet for a short time during vacation will greatly increase your enjoyment without being a significant danger to your health, enjoy yourself. I'd hate to have regrets in the long run simply because I couldn't exercise moderation and some self-control. Although, had I done both of those things, I probably wouldn't ever have needed southbeach in the first place....hmmmmm. :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 Happy, healthy eating, everyone!
