do you wake up family members in your villa/room etc. when youre away?

When the whole family goes, we try to sleep in (which is waking up at 9am for us), yet I'm naturally an early-riser, so I tend to get up earlier than the others. Because I don't want to deal with a cacophony of complaints, I just get my laptop and go out to the balcony. I love getting to see the hotel/resort in the morning when most are still in their rooms.

Now, obviously, this only works for Deluxe Resorts, so when I'm in a value, I'll just sit at the desk and work there quietly until either everyone is up or it's the agreed time for everyone to get up.

I really do have some awesome memories of sitting out on our balcony in the morning watching the day get started.

My kids don't sleep past 6am anywhere for any reason!!! I wish I had to think of was to wake them up. As a result we have to stick to a fairly early bed time at disney, I aim for 7pm, maybe 7:30, and pray that disney magic will keep them sleeping until 6:30. That only worked once last trip.

(Our home bed time is 6pm.)

I've often noticed that kids who go to bed at 6pm will wake after 12 hours of sleep...

Being woken up at 6am is not in my book of "happy mom on a Saturday or on vacation", so I have always tended to put my kids to bed approx 12 hours before *I* want to wake up lol.

Your daughter sounds fab!:goodvibes

Thank you. She certainly proves that you don't have to be able to talk to be in charge. :lmao:

And truthfully, she is a much easier child to parent than her "normal" fifteen year old sister.

I know just what you mean.:)

Ds was in no hurry developmentally with any milestones-
Whether sitting,walking,talking,literally anything-
But,he always managed to communicate in his own special way.
My "baby boy" is now 17 and towers above us all-time flies.;)

Wait til your other daughter is 25-it'll pass eventually!:dance3:

We are RD people... we are up when Mickey calls and get started with our day!

It is almost impossible to get DH up on a regular day but at WDW? He is rearing to go!

Granted, we have no kiddos.
