I get what I want, though I do tend to order the less expensive things because they are usually more in-line with my pallette, like a simple pasta dish, etc. I don't go for high-end all that often. If steak is the higher priced item, I tend to avoid red meat most of the time. I don't much care for lobster and other items that tend to be higer too, so chicken for me - but not because of the price.
