Do you use your points to stay at your home resort?

[Kick it up a notch!]

I'm just curious if most members use their points to stay at their home resorts, or if they stay at the other resorts, use them to stay at Disney Hotels, use them to swap for an II or used on the DCL. If you own more than one resort and stay at one of the resorts you own, you are staying at your home resort. I also realize you may have done both, I am interested in the time you used your points to stay outside of your home resort (if you have)

I own at HH and BWV. My HH points are always spent at HH, as I only have 100 and need every one I can get. LOL
We usually stay at BWV with our BW points, but have stayed at OKW(loved it!) and BCV.
If we ever can't get a SV at the BW, I'd use them at OKW in a heartbeat.

OMG, I will be at the BW in just over 24 hours!!!!! Sorry, just thought about that and had to get it out.

We own at BCV and BWV.

In June, we used BCV points to stay at VB and BWV.

Next year, we will use BCV points for stays at HHI and VB.

We only own at BWV and we have only stayed at BWV...Maybe in the future we will stay somewhere else but not yet...

We just bought VWL in April and we are going home in December. We can't wait.

In just three years of membership, we have used our points at OKW (our original home), BWV, HH, the American Club in Kohler (WI), and taken a seven night Disney cruise. Most of this we have done with only 150 pts. ! We now have 214 points after two 32 pt. add-ons (one to have enough pts. for a cruise exclusively on pts. and another in May when more OKW pts. were made available to us).

I own at BWV but also stay at OKW. We stay at OKW in May and BWV in December. Although OKW has lower dues, I chose BWV for my home resort to get the 11 month window for early Dec.

We own at OKW and always booked there, but I am going to stay at BCV for the first time 10/30 - 11/04. Can't wait!

I own at VWL and BCV and have stayed at VWL, BCV, BWV, OKW and VB. Some day I will get to HH. I love them all - and just can't get enough!!!

We own all our pts at BWV, and have yet to stay there -- just OKW and VWL thus far. But by this time next yr, we'll have added BWV and BCV to our list, and a bit after that, HH, so we're getting there!! I'd like to sample SSR next summer, but it may be too narrow of a window (so many members, so few rooms built) and I may just need to be a bit more patient on that one....

We use our points at our home resorts, other DVC resorts and once at another Disney resort. We probably would not use them for DCL or to exchange outside of Disney -- cash seems a much better option.

Home resorts are OKW and VB. Have stayed at all DVC resorts, but much prefer our home.....OKW, which is where we usually go, even with our VB points.

Home resort is OKW, but we want to try all the DVCs as time and points permit. We've stayed at VWL twice and we're doing BWV and DCL in January. Hoping for SSR on my next trip!

We purchased a resale last Fall at OKW. We have stayed at HHI and have another HHI ressie for March. We have booked a 3 night cruise and a 5 night stay @ OKW for October. I am sure we will trade out for a Disneyland stay and probably trade with II sometime in the future. We bought with the idea of using our points for many different vacations.

Home resorts are VWL and SSR (Had Vero but sold it).We have stayed in VWL,OKW,Poly and The Claremont in Berkley California all on points.

2 trip to OKW 1 trip BWV in 01 (did not care for it)
1 Huge family trip to OKW in 02 (GV , 2br , 3 studios)

1 OKW and 1 BCV in 03
(we have stayed a the YC so I am confident we can tolerate the smaller rooms)

That is 11 out of 13 at our home.
Will probably give VWL a shot soon than stick to OKW afterall it is home.

When we bought in we stayed the remaining days at OKW. Since then we've stayed at BWV our home resort and absolutely loved it. We're Epcot resort people and it's perfect for us. Next year we are staying the bulk of our trip at BWV, but the last couple of days at BCV so we can enjoy SAB.

We own points at VWL, and VB.
We have stayed at VWL, VB, and Poly concierge with points. We plan to use points at AKL, YC, and the Poly as well as our home DVC resorts.
I am not sure we will ever stay at another DVC resort, with the possible exception of HH. We would just miss VWL too much.

We have stayed at one of our home resorts-VB.

We have also stayed at the WL-but in the hotel part on cash before we added on at VWL.

We will be using some of our VWL pts to stay at VWL in October.

We are staying for 4 nights at the YC Concierge using DVC pts before we check in to VWL. It was more pts than a DVC resort but we really wanted to do it. The planning staff has been wonderful!

We have stayed at our 2 homes(VB+OKW) and HH. We plan on trying all of them during the next 38 years.
