Do you use the new theft-proof KYSS tote bag?

True!! But I think a bag that is *obviously* locked up says HEY GOOD STUFF IN HERE. I think it is safer have the same process, but without shouting that you are locking things up. I guess I think .... if someone comes to grab my pac safe, they are likely to be surprised and abandon mission when they realize it's attached to something. If someone decides to try to get into the KYSS bag, they would be ready to break the lock/chain they can clearly see ---- and it might be worth the effort since it was locked up in the first place.

All these views comes from a position of paranoia. I can be paranoid, but I don't want to advertise it. I live in Orlando and laugh my butt off at the tourists who wear their backpacks backwards (a pickpocketing defense, I see it all the time at the outlet malls -- might as well paint a target on yourself!).

Mine is similar to this one: http://www.pacsafe.com/citysafe-cs200-anti-theft-handbag.html but purchased in 2009 so an older version of it. I'm a big fan --- all the protection without shouting that I have valuables I'm afraid of losing.
But a thief is not going to sit there and try to rip, pull and prod a bag that has a lock and chain on it. It would attract everyone's attention. That's ridiculous. Thieves usually do walkbys and slowly grab bags, cameras, phones, wallets,e tc... whatever that's sitting there unattended. They are not gonna stop there and start making a scene.

Just to give another opinion: I do not think the Large is Huge at all. It is pretty big, but that is what I wanted as a family tote bag for days out. I didnt want it as just another purse. I am 5'4 and the bag hangs on my shoulder and hits where my legs meet my rear end. It may be wider than some other bags, but is still comfortable. I would NOT consider it 'luggage' as another poster said she/ he would. It will hold a good bit which is exactly what I needed since most bags are too small for a day out with towels, sunscreen, phones, wter bottles, etc. i would not carry the Large to the mall or grocery store, but that is not what I got it for.

So far, it seems very well made. I ordered an embroidery design and name and it looks great, arrived very quickly and customer service was friendly and fast. :)

can you post a photo of yours so we can get an idea of what a large looks like?:thumbsup2

I prefer pacsafe by far. Has the same/more security with the added benefit of not being *obviously* chained. A thief sees something chained (which is obvious because it reflects light) and knows there is something worthwhile in there. Pacsafe has wire in the strap that can be unclipped and wrapped around something. You can add a lock if you want.

I feel like it's the walk vs run tactic. Act casual, that goes for your bag too.

We also prefer Pacsafe and have a number of their products. We use one of their small backpacks as our park bag, for example (http://www.pacsafe.com/venturesafe-15l-gii-day-pack.html).

Pacsafe bags have a number of security features, most of which are not obvious and IME all of which are well done. For example, slash-resistant sides and straps.

For our next cruise we are going to use the new Pacsafe 15L travelsafe as our CC bag (http://www.pacsafe.com/travelsafe-x15-10483616-hawaiian-blue.html) . I have the two older, smaller size Pacsafe travelsafes, but like the bigger size and handle of the 15L. Toss it into a RuMe tote (http://myrume.com) and toss a towel over them and it and its secure cable are well-concealed.

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg The large is approximately 22"x22". The laptop is to judge the size, it is a 15" laptop. There are 4 mesh pockets front and back. Two open pockets and a zippered pouch inside. I put 3 towels inside, and you see there is ample space for other things. The chain on the Kyss can be tucked inside showing just the amount needed to wrap around something. The lock goes through the zipper tags so can't open the bag while locked. The chain is actually really long.... But you can see all that on their site.
Hope photos help

FYI, for those considering options of what bag to get... it looks like Kyss may be getting some competition...

While looking for something elsse I came across this locking beach bag, which looks really interesting (though having access from the outside to the inside via the bottom cooler compartment does seem to make many of the other security features not as useful wrt a more knowledgeable or determined thief).

Haven't used it so can't speak to quality, but it may be worthy of consideration as an option for some:

I like that one for home type outings, beach, zoo, school trips. We really don't need a cooler on vacation, unless we have ics packs available.

at $125 I don't see much competition. KYSS bags are less than half that and can be personalized. that's just my thought though. others may see it different.

Yeah I just looked at price :worried: Looked on line for a discount code too but nothing. It's a few dollars less on the actual site coolbag.com and free shipping, but 123.00 is a lot, for a vacation tote. I actually like it for my mom, who lives by the beach and goes often enough. With the cooler it's a plus. Mother's Day gift maybe.

We're going on our first Disney Cruise two months from today! We ordered the medium KYSS bag for my 18 year old daughter. She used in in Hawaii over spring break. Big enough for a towel, extra clothes, her dsl camera, and misc. stuff. She really liked it. I just ordered the CoolBag for me. Spendy, but I can see using it more in he future. So, I'll let you know what I think when it gets here. Hopefully after our cruise in June, I can write a comparison review of both.

That would be great. Thank you.
I have the need for the large Kyss as we are 3, but I can't get that cooler out of my mind. Might have to get it if we do more at home trips. And by "have to" meaning I really can't get the cooler out of my mind, and for school trips that would be, so convenient..I like convenience
Thank you, again
