Do you use the brand name?

When referring to certain items, even if it is the generic version or NOT that name brand? Do you call them:

Band Aids or Adhesive bandages?

Q-tips or Cotton Swabs?

Xerox or copies?

Tylenol or Aspirin (Tylenol is actually acetominophen)?

Advil/Motrin or Ibuprofen?

Kleenex or Tissues?

Ziplock or baggies?

Ibuprofen
Tissues (I used to say Kleenex, but dh says tissues and I've picked it up)

But I only use the brand names one all but one of these things because I only purchase the brand names. If I got tissues that were another brand, I'd say tissues.

That's another one of those things that I typically just use the actual brand so I say Post-Its... well I actuall say Post-It Notes.

I'm guilty of all of them... except the "coke" thing. Coke is coke, pepsi is pepsi, soda is the generic term for when I can't decide on a flavor. LOL.

Q-Tip, I used to like this one generic brand, but I don't remember the name and cannot find them anymore, Q-Tip brands tend to have weak stalks​

Copies, regardless of the machine​

Iburprofen, and it's probably one of the major things we do buy in generic​
