Do you use the brand name?

I say BandAid, Jello, Frisbee, Coke, Sprite. Post-It and Q-tip but these are the brands that we have.

I say tissue (instead of Kleenex), plastic container (Tupperware), foil (Reynolds wrap), plastic wrap( Saran Wrap), baggie(ZipLoc), tape (Scotch Tape), glass cleaner (Windex), vacuum (Dyson), laundry soap (Tide)

The only thing that I can think of that I use the brand name when I have generic is Advil. I guess it's easier to say the ibuprofen. ;)

I say diaper instead of Huggies and paper towel instead of Bounty even though these are the brands that I usually buy.

In our house all kids meals are "Happy Meals"..btw, Burger King WILL correct you if you order this lol...

Ziplock or baggies? Baggies
Scotch tape? tape
Jacuzzi? Hot tub. (unless its a Bathtub with Jets)
Vaseline? vaseline
Post-Its? Used to be Post its, but everyone at work calls them stickies... So I call them that now too to avoid confusion.
soda? Soda.
Jell-O or gelatin? Jello
Cool Whip or whipped topping? Cool whip
Wite Out or correction fluid? White out
KoolAid to mean any flavored sweet drink that isn't soda? only KoolAid is Koolaid, everything else... Whatever it is?

I say chapstick and Pam also.

Does anyone else refer to cereals by the brand names? I know they have Cheerios that are loops and fruit flavored. I tend to call them Fruit Loop Cheerios, because they have blurred the line.

Visine
Cheetos
Velveeta
Top Ramen
Nilla Wafers
Ritz

Guilty to all!
(I live in Alabama. Want a Coke? What flavor?)
Except...Post-its. Those are "sticky notes". However, all permanent markers are Sharpies!

I am guilty of saying just about all of the previous Brand name mentions.

Adding (And I do call all these by the brand name):

Cascade or Automatic Dishwasher Detergent
Dawn or Dish Soap
Downy or Fabric Softner
Bounce or Dryer Sheet
Bic or Lighter
Miracle Grow or Fertilizer

Ha! I say Cascade and Bounce (even though I don't even use Bounce brand, I still call it Bounce!)

Aspirin and kleneenex aren't technically the brand name anymore. Both are no longer trademarked because they fell into the public domain after the original owners failed to police the trademark.

Thermos, celophane, linoleum, escalator, yo-yo, zipper and, most recently, netbook, used to be trademarked brand names.
