Do you use on-line check in why, or why not?

I never use online check-in and the reason is since I stay Club Level that means I get a private check-in right inside the Club Level lounge of the Deluxe Resort I am staying at, so for myself it would be a waste for me to use it.

Do you use on-line check in why, or why not?

We use it for non-CL stays, mainly because online check-in lets us make Disney aware of what time we'll be arriving. We tend to arrive around noon, standard check-in time is 3pm or later, but our room has always been ready for us.

CL stays, we're able to let the IPO know our arrival time and, like a PP said, the check-in is separate, so we don't need to do it online.

We use it all the time. It usually helps us to get into a room right away if we arrive early.

No , never used it , I don't mind standing and waiting ! We always check in around 7 am and only once our room wasn't ready . also all my requests have been met .

I have used it in the past, but won't again. In my experience it doesn't help anything. They can still downgrade you from your paid for room catagory. They can give your room away and still have to print everything out when you arrive. Disney doesn't seem to consider it a true check in, so what is the point of it?

We do use it. I like being able to put in what time we expect to arrive, mostly because we generally arrive very late (midnight to 2:00 a.m.) and it makes me feel better to know they see we are still coming!

Also, using Magical Express, means much of the time we arrive along with many other people so its nice to cut down on the wait as much as possible.

I remember one trip using it and walking right up, getting my packet and being on my way in just a few minutes, vs. the line that was probably at least 30 minutes long. Of course other times, those late arrivals in particular, the whole lobby has been deserted so it didn't matter or save much time.

We don't use it. I just don't see the point. We always get there very early and rarely have a line.

I always use it. My experience has been that everything is printed in a folder when we arrive. Of course, that doesn't always mean the room is ready.

Always use it, just for the convenience. Rarely have to wait. Once we had to wait for our room, but only one time in the 4 times I've done online checkin.

We stopped using it. We've never gotten a single request when we used it, and usually have gotten them when we haven't used it. Since we usually arrive very early in the morning, there aren't long lines anyway, so what's the point.

Each time we used it our room has always been ready for us at arrival, typically around 1:30 PM.

So glad someone posted about this! This one left me scratching my head a little, too.

Does checking in online affect your ability to make special room requests? I have some requests to make and I'm afraid if I check in online I won't have that option like I would if I did it in person.

I always use it but it has little to day with anything that happens once we get there. I don't get to go to wdw as often as I'd like so usually by that last week I can't contain my excitement anymore and its something I can do that's Disney related before I actually get there.

Glad to hear everyone's opinion, and one person left wondering why use it too. We used it on our last trip, but I felt like there was less interaction with the CM, and were less able to get a request if it was even possible. We'll be waiting until arrival to check-in on this trip. Thanks for the feedback.

I never remember to use it. After reading the previous posts, I will try to use it unless I have a special request. There has never been a long line to check in so it doesn't seem like much of a time saver.

Our last two stays have been CL and I've used online check in. Upon arriving at the resort, I've been upgraded from a standard room to a deluxe both times. Perhaps it's just coincidence--but I'm checking in online for my March trip and hoping for the best!

A PP stated CL guests don't HAVE to do online which is certainly true, but I think it just moves things along if you do.
