I've been wanting one for years, but since the dog sleeps on the bed while we're in it, I guess I can't have one. I was always told that you shouldn't lay on the blanket that it could break the wires.
This is interesting. I grew up with electric blankets.... now I sleep with two down comforts. I have thought about getting a electric blanket but I am not sure why. I think I may get on for lounging around it though!!!
we have a sunbeam one thermostatic one..it adjusts itself according to the temperature..so if you are in bed and have it set on high..and it's getting too warm..it shuts itself down till the temp cools off again..with the weather this week..we couldn't live without it!
NO WAY....when I was a teenager, my parents had one that caught on fire(bad wiring I guess)...thankfully there were a few blankets on top of it or it it would have burst into flames!! The only damage done was it smoldered some and made burn holes in all blankets but the top one....my Mom woke up just in time!!!
No, but I always wanted one. I used to always be cold. But have DH instead......he is my heater. Except now I don't need one, since my internal heater is all out of wack now that I am getting old......lol
No but I use a heating pad sometimes to warm up my side of the bed. Usually I put my lab on the bed about an hour before I'm ready, he gets it nice and toasty.
I'm afraid of electric blankets too but my DH is like a furnace! I only need about 5 minutes glued to him & I'm throwing the covers off! (Please keep your minds out of the gutter! )
