Do you use a day off your pass for MVMCP?

We are just getting two day passes without hopping and I wondered if we used that day to go to Epcot could we then get into the MVMCP with just the christmas party tickets ( at 4:00) or do we need to use our MYW passes.

This is our first time there and I have no idea how this all works.

TIA,
Kelly

In the past, we have gotten in around 4 p.m. with just our party ticket. From the posts of other members on the board, it looks like it will be the same time this year as well. But with Disney, all things are subject to change. I hope you have a great time - we have gone to MVMCP for the past 3 years and it was wonderful! We changed it up a bit this year and decided to do MNSSHP for the 1st time.

I am a bit confused. :confused3 Your MVMCP ticket is separate from your MYW passes. You can use your MYW pass for Epcot one day and go to MK for MVMCP and use your party ticket at 4:00 pm (I think that is the time they'll let the party goers in!). Hopefully, this makes sense. :confused3

Thanks for the link to that thread. I sure hope this is true. We don't want to waste the day doing nothing but we also want to do a different park so that would use up a day. Someone please jump in if this is not correct.

Go to Epcot during the day.
Head over to MK at 4 ish to get in early for the party and not have to use MYW admission.

Now to get dh to agree to the extra $$$.

Thanks for the replies!

What you want to do should work fine. You do not need a ticket seperate from the MVMCP ticket to get into MK if you wait til after 4. So, you can go to Epcot with your park ticket until 4 and then head to MK with your MVMCP ticket.

Yes, it should work out fine if Disney does not change their protocol. My sister and her friend have 2 Park Hopper Passes we have AP's so it's not a problem for us. They are flying in early Sunday and we are just hanging out at the Boardwalk watching football and maybe going to Jellyrolls. Then Monday we're using a park hopper for MGM and Epcot. Tuesday we plan on using the MNNSHP tickets for MK and Wednesday we are doing AK morning, late lunch at the castle and dinner at Epcot. Thursday is a non park shopping etc. day to relax. They are flying out on Friday. So we will be fine.

One tip is that we have done the dinner part two ways. Twice we've gotten to the park at 4:00 and eaten right away, then stayed in Tomorrowland when they close off the rest of the park. Lines in Tomorrowland have been REALLY short when we've done it this way.

Then when they open the rest of the park at the beginning of the party, we've done all the rides we want in Tomorrowland and can concentrate on the rest of the park while lines are relatively short. Works out nice. One time we ate early at Grand Floridian Cafe and then got to the park about 6 - 6:30. Didn't work out at all, there were long lines for the rides and it was not fun. Maybe it was a more crowded night also, but I won't do it that way anymore. This year we have 4:20 reservations at Crystal Palace.

If you do early dinner at 4 then a nice snack from the bakery later when you've done allot works out nice.
